Reporting live from henderson county, Kimberly King, news 13. The bod d is of an elderly couple found in greenville. The couple lost power friday night and put a generator in their garage. A man killed in a traffic accident. Officials say the victim was walking along a road that the driver slid on a patch of ice and truck the pedestrian. Ice and snow on roadways continue to cause problems today even after the roads were plowed. Our news 13 crew stopped to check on a driver who became stuck on the way to work. It happened at the intersection of south maples road and national highway in fletcher. The driver was not hurt. A passerby stopped to help pull her to safety. Drivers said she could hear snowplows and did not anticipate any problems on the road. I just got stuck on, basically where the plow left snow. Where the scraper went down on the road and left an edge of snow and i didnt even think about that might be taller than the undercarriage of my car. Frank police and the make sure hillary was okay. A dump truck accident caused traffic issues on i26 in buncombe county. It happened this afternoon at the brevard road exit. Authorities say the truck was hauling salt. A tire blew out, the vehicle slammed into the guardrail. No one was injured in this crash. One lane of the interstate had to be closed far time. Access to the buncombe county detention facility will be disrupted for some construction construction. Over the next ten days no on site visitation in the detention lobby. The Magistrates Office will be open but should be used only in emergencies. Construction is expected to last through next monday.
