About a house fire that burned overnight in woodfin. News 13s Lauren Brigman is live from the woodfin Fire Department. Lauren, were there working smoke alarms in the home . There were. Right now those are what alerted the family to the fire, though. That family of four made it out safely by the time crews arrived. 3 when our cree arrived on scene overnight, flames could be seen shooting through the roof. Multiple Fire Departments responded to the fire just after 930 last night. They were on scene until 215 this morning, battling hot spots. While on scene, a woodfin firefighter told our crews the fire was so hot the rainfall was not aiding their efforts. 3 were dealing with a fire burning over 1,000 degrees 41 21 20 and its not going to be that effective on that. 41 24 12 crews had to use a lot of water from the fire trucks to tinguish the fire. The home is believed to be a total loss. Thankfully no one was injured. 3 the fire marshal continues to investigate the cause of this information, we will update you both on air and online. Brigman news 13. 3 3 a buncombe county grand jury indicts an asheville man on three counts of first degree murder. Pierre griffin the second is accused of killing tatianna diz. Alexandra king and uhon johnson on the night of october 27th. Warrants state that griffin held king and diz at gunpoint with the intent of stealing kings car. And that griffin killed johnson at pisgah View Apartments that same night. District attorney Todd Williams tells news 13 he is considering the death penalty. 3 3 the grand jury also returned a firstdegree murder indictment for robin richardson. Investigators say she shot wlos employee tim fry at his home in december. Richardson told authorities she shot him because he assaulted her. 3 3 we have a developing story out of Haywood County. Deputies are looking for a man who broke into a home at lake junaluska, while the owner was inside. These are surveillance pictures of the suspect and his vehicle from monday night. Deputies say he kickedin a door, but ran away when the suspect was driving a white mercury suv with a temporary tag. Shes wanted for two counts of no operators license, child not in rear seat, resisting public officers, driving with license revoked, and driving while impaired. Durst will be sent to a federal prison in california once he is sesetenced in the gun case. He is set to stand trial for murder in the 2000 slaying of a longtime friend. The superintendent and assistant superintendent say they were just notified about the proposal on monday. It would eliminate the popular 8020 plan, even for retirees. It also recommends eliminating coverage for spouses.
