And the accused murderer has never been captured. News 13s Lauren Brigman is live from the Hendersonville Police department. Lauren, where did this happen . At the victims hendersonville apartment. On first avenue west. 3 tamela kay gordon was fatally stabbed in the neck. She was 34 years old. Hendersonville Police Believe her boyfriend at the time. hymee uhrohchay jaime aroche, from guatemala. Committed the crime. He was a Migrant Worker who had only been in the mountains a few months. Police believe he used an alias to buy a bus ticket to naples, florida a month later. Back in 2009, police told us they thought he may still be in florida. 3 the victims family also asked americas most wanted, for help. But aroche has never been caught. Once the waters receded, mud coated businesses along the old charlotte highway in east asheville. Asheville paint and powder coat was one of the hardest hit. In some spots, flood water lines are six feet high. The water was so high that a dumpster floated over a fence. 3 thomas finger, asheville paint powdercoat weve got like two inches in our warehouse, but everything was in pallets, so all the material is okay. Were just kind of vacuuming the water out of the floor. The last time asheville paint and powdercoat flooded was 23 years ago. That flood did not cause this much damage. 3 3 the flooding also left quite a mess in biltmore village. Once the waters went down. Mud and dirt covered the streets and sidewalks. Brooks brothers had to close. And may not reopen until tonight because of the damage. But as some businesses remained closed. Its good for us though. 3 anderson said his crew worked about 14 hours yesterday. 3 3 all the rain caused stress on wastewater pipes in asheville. This is the spillway on the French Broad River near the sewer Water Treatment site. In the last year, there have been 12 sewage spills due to heavy rain. That is because pipes have not been able to handle the overflow of wastewater. 3 4 06 our sewer lines are about 100 years old its got a lot of leaking joints in it gets infiltrated with stormwater to combat the old infrastructure. New pipes are installed each year. 3 3 more than 18 million americans are living under the threat of major flooding this morning. This follows a massive storm system that pummeled the midwest and is now dumping heavy snow and ice in the northeast. Stacey cohan is live in washington with the latest. The storm may the danger is far from over. Voin missouri, the Mighty Mississippi is spilling over levees just north of st. Louis and one county was forced to evacuate as flood waters began to rise. The National Weather service says residents should brace for historic river flooding through early next week. Jason van dyke appeared in court yesterday. He is charged with six counts of murder for the shooting of laquan mcdonald. It took months for the city to release squad car video of the incident. Van dyke is no longer being paid and has been posting bond. 3 3 today the so called affluenza teen and his mother are expected back in america. We are getting a first look this morning at the resort where they were hiding. After being on the run for several weeks, ethan couch and his mother were picked up near the resort town of puerto vallarta. Couch was two years into a 10year probation sentence for killing four people in a drunk driving crash in 2013 his defense suffered affluenza meaning his wealthy upbringing was to blame for his behavior. 3 3 eight survivors have been rescued from a collapsed mine in eastern china. They had been trapped underground for five days. Rescuers drilled a relief hole to deliver food and other provisions to the trapped miners. The mine collapsed on Christmas Day while 29 people were inside.
