Will ujek joins us live and several cases have been linked to a business there. Reporter 11 cases in total have about reported and confirmed out here in lake county. Three of them linked here in east lake to consolidated Precision Products. Where the back ceer yao was dis back deer yeah was discovered in a cooling bacteria was man who died from this was 54 years old contracted it in july. Several other cases in the summer. The last case two weeks ago but all those people have recovered. They hired a contractor to clean and decontaminate and it has since tested negative. One person working at the plant contracted the illness and one person from each of the neighboring businesses. Several other 8 cases happened further away. The department is not sure if they are unrelated or related to the cases here in east lake. Legionella usually found in water typically warm water hot tubs cooling towers but not window ac systems and not in cars. People get sick when they breath it in. Most dont get ill and recover. Its lung infection. Shortness of breath high fever muscle aches and headaches. Consolidated Precision Products did release a statement sage no legionella bacteria was tested in post cleaning results.
