mornings wet weather is causing a lot of problems. lets check in with Tiffany Tarpley to get an update on the current conditions. whats going on, tiffany . reporter well, right now, were just starting to get raindrops in cleveland. were downtown. the high winds, were really starting to feel it. it was just about an hour or so that 90 eastbound reopened. it was just under the carnegie bridge. there was high water on 90 east. crews working to suck up the water. there was part of it open. there was an onramp in this area from 77 that was open to traffic, but, still, for the most part, right at east 9th 9th street here, it was closed. when we talk about road closures, there were also road closures in west lake because of outages there. the power has been restored, but with the high winds, now the rain is coming. that rain could get heavier. youre going to have to be watching out for more Power Outages, maybe because of those downed power lines because of the wind and downed trees. greg told me earlier thats probably going to be staying with us throughout the afternoon. thanks, tiffany. were hearing that Field High School is closed this morning because so many kids and teachers are Tiffany Tarpley, she joins us live. how there weather affect you . hi, tiffany. reporter hi, lynna. with the winds throughout the afternoon. were here at 90 east. you can see the traffic is heavy. it has slowed down a bit here, but its not necessarily due to any wet roads. of course, this is when traffic would normally pick up here, but it was right here in this area just about an hour ro so ago that it actually hour or so ago when it actually reopened. the roads were closed for a period of time. in west lake, theres an area there in a neighborhood that was closed because of downed power lines. that was bradley road. that power has since been restored, but, again, this is what it looked like overnight here on 90 east. a portion of this area here underneath the carnegie bridge is closed. its back open right now. just imagine if this were to be snow falling this morning. of course were dealing with unseasonable temperatures. were dealing with rain and wind today. again, what you need to be youre moving through, hold onto the steering wheel, but be aware you could lose control because of the winds. thank you, tiffany. were following breaking news this morning. Field High School in Portage County has told parents its closing today because of a stomach illness thats been going through the high school. high school will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected today. the school says the other three buildings are not having problems, so they will be open. we have new information on the shooting at a cleveland rec center. a man was taken to the hospital last night after package shot multiple times. it happened near the Lonnie Burton rec center. the victim was taken to the Medical Center and theres no word on his condition, and police have not released his name. were learning more about killed to two people. alcohol may have been a cause of the crash. both victims were pronounced dead at the scene. toxicology reports are pending this morning. it was truly groundhog day for Christopher Moore released from jail and sent back to jail less than an hour later.
