Id like to see it, like to be automobile to walk over to the lake without having to go and cross all the main streets. A tourist person, they wouldnt know how to got down there. This is a tentative model, a 25 million in hand, 10 each from city and county, 5 from the state, the guesstimated price tag, 33 million, an 8 million shortfall. We still need to raise a significant portion of money. We believe its and achievable gap. Reporter but businesses, foundations tapped out for the rnc and other projects, yet public square, the Convention Center ho tell have the city on a roll. Could a long lull hurt . We are mindful of momentum. Reporter but you want a project thats going to an generations. You dont want something youre looking at ten years from now, if we had just done this the right way. This is the post from the East Liverpool police. You can see two people who are overdosing slumped over in a car, all the while a little boy sits in the backseat. Channel 3s hillary goldsten is here with the story behind the picture and the this area has a drug problem, heroin problem, and this is what youre seeing, and the children unfortunately are one of the biggest victims of that. Reporter in this particular incident, our biggest victim is very small. The fouryearold sitting in the backseat helpless, likely stunned, and scared. Any shouts he might make to try to wake these adults isnt going to work. Both odd on heroin. Sort of following a dark colored Ford Explorer that was part rat i can. Reporter thats where an offduty officer comes into the picture, the one who may have made a difference between life and death, approaching a vehicle that rolled down a hill and almost hit a school bus before coming to a stop. Last year, more than 38 of the kids in stark county run into Child Protective Services had drug use as a factor. Heroin and opiate use were the drugs most often in that was hillary goldst,n reporting. Heres another snapshot of the problem from rich land county. Drug related cases are becoming more common there. Since the beginning of this year through july . 20 through july, rather, 28 of investigations initiated by Children Services involved some sort of substance abuse. The cavs guard was arrested almost one month ago on suspicion of driving under the influence in georgia following a traffic stop for a lane violation. After being stopped, the deputy smelled an odor consistent with burned marijuana. Shumpert admitted to smoking. Declined a blood test. Shumpert charged with dui, possession of marijuana, and failure to maintain lanes. No court date has been set. The cavs said in a statement they have discussed the situation with shump,rt. They will not have a further comment until the Legal Process plays out. It is possible shumpert lands in the leagues treatment policy, and could face a suspension. Weve seen it with other players. We dont want to jump to conclusions. Well let the process play out. Of course shum pert, i mat, to the other cavaliers in that locker room. Known for his defense. Earlier this year, a company sprayed the building many of the offices employees to get sick. Union representatives say they asked that the office wait to apply the pesticides on the weekend so fumes would have time to clear. Mr. Williams and local rep told them verbally. Theres also a large email exchange that we have absolutely requested no anticipation of the pesticides during the weekday. Union reps also say visitors to the Social Security office were exposed never informed. Well right, the akron county regional food banks 24hour operation orange is underway. More than 1,500 volunteers are expected at the food bank to assist with donations to delivery for those in need. A lot of the food, like those apples you saw, are locally sourced, and will be delivered to the Community Next week. Volunteers will work through the night, doing their part to end the hunger.
