Reporter the drama began last night around 8 30 when William Roberts picked up the 15year old daughter Robin Roberts around the kmart plaza. The trouble was that he didnt have custody of the girl or her foster home in brunswick for the last week. Well, roberts had drug charges and thats why he lost custody. And the sister returned home to the foster mother and told the foster mother what happened and thats when the foster mother called police and the amber alert was issued. About 13 hours later the case was solved. Northville village brian sayjack sitting in his patrol car at a nearby school when he ce cruise into view. The vehicle came back toward me and i could see there was a male and female that matched the description of the amber alert. The sergeant started to follow and tried to make a traffic stop. When he took off i knew it an amber alert. The speeds went up to 180 and then William Roberts finally pulled his truck over. It happened in front of Nancy Deckers home. She was stunned to learn it was the amber alert. Thank god they caught him and she is okay. The case solved because of the observant eye of a police officer. This is me sitting on the roadway watching motorists as they come by and recognizing from the possible be happy to know that someone is paying attention. The police are on the job. Roberts taken to custody and sent to the jail for holding. Brunswick Police Taking over the case and the girl will likely return to family services. Robin roberts was taken to Childrens Hospital where she will be evaluated. The sister has been removed from the foster home. We will go back to children and family services. If they get treatment in 30 days it is good for two incidents and holl at hospital doors. Narcan and other drugs must be used fast and 911 calls have to be made quickly.
