Many will be voting against a candidate as much as for theirs Hillary Clinton with the big get out and vote as more questions are raised about her emails trumps offensive talk and mistreatment of women and Hillary Clintons stamina. Reporter a lot of athletes and coaches from the nba, from major league baseball, from nfl and more, have been coming forward tweeting, theyve been saying no, thats not what happens in our locker rooms. And i just happen to think that our athletes and our coaches know a lot more about what happens in locker rooms than donald trump does. I never met these people. I dont know who they are. She doesnt have the strength or the aptitude, she doesnt have what it takes if were going to be a great country again. That i can tell you 100 . A little bit of policy talk in there overshadowed by personal attacks. Trump talking about plans to help with debt. She got a big boost from president obama in cleveland with his take on pushing early voting. Hes acting like hes a the populace out there, im going to fight for working people, come on, man you want to know what someone is going to do, look what theyve been doing their whole lives. Ohio is always close and so you can vote early right now. Of course the president a energize the voting base. 70 turnout, close to 4 years ago. And to deal with concerns about hacking, new safety precushions taken. Better voting information now in place although theres been no intrusions so far. Always good to remind vote that bubble sheet you fill out before you slip into the machine, just there. Just in case. All right, so lets get to the meat of the matter right away here. Give me thought process about why youre keeping with him. We did vote to endorse august. To take back that endorsement would have to be that membership voting to do that. We dont see that theres the desire to do that right now. Our membership and many of the folks we get calling our office on a daytoday basis, theyre concerned about taxes and were concerned about National Security and dont believe Hillary Clinton is the right candidate to do hillary is. As a selfrespective woman, how can you support donald trump . I dont agree with the things hes said, theyre not things that me or anyone else thinks are good things. At the end of the day, the president ial election is about what youre goings to do . [ music ] . . Our country forward and should be weighed more on that. Up about 9 which i think people found surprising. Nbc had them virtually even. Do you think its shifted in ohio . I think it has in the last two weeks i dont know if youll see that in the media polls theres a base with donald trump no matter what is being said. Be if were talking about policy, that is where i think you have to say look at the two candidates. We have one candidat to defend himself against all of these allegations and Hillary Clinton who has been able to take advantage of that and keep pushing. The debate coming on wednesday, what do we expect . Its a last chance for donald trump to put out good policies. He doesnt get caught up in hillary and takes that opportunity to speak to the american voter, it would be a what do you think is going to happen . I think well see a replay of what we saw at the last debate its going to evolve into this personal side of things and the real losers will be the voters. Next, clevelands income tax. Is the citys comeback at a man attacked me in a parking garage. Ife. But i carry a pistol. I fight back. Thats why im still here. Every woman has a right to defend herself with a gun if she chooses. Hillary clinton disagrees with that. Dont let politicians take away your right to own a gun. Donald trump supports my right to own a gun. T you want and so does your partner. Amazing sleep for all. Its the final days of the columbus day sale, with the queen c4 mattress set now only 1399. 98. Urging voters to renew the school levee, the other Important Campaign has been pretty low key. For the first income tax hike in 35 years. The citys comeback momentum at steak. They would go from 2 to 2 1 2 . It would raise 84 million per year, about 40 million would go to fill a budget hole that is yo the rest would go for improvements, including police reform, 63 officers hired next year, it would hire inspectors and efforts caught up to where they should be. The major says if the levee fails, every clevelander will feel it. If youre sick and looking for a first responder, it would take a time for them to get there. And were talking about significant reduction in most services and elimination of some services were determined now if the income tax does not pay, what it will be. My whole interview on the income tax hike i understand that the polling that theyre doing, the moment looks like the school levee is passing and the income trailing though not by a margin. Three weeks left, three and a half weeks left, they have to get working. Its not fought on the airways, it really is communicating to residents in the neighborhood and they dont like to brag about it, but its part of the sell job which is its not going to cost you that much, because the bulk of the tax will be paid for by people who work outside of the city work very closely with the efforts to get the school levee passed and begin these final three weeks to push. It will be close. Its still squeaking by. How much do they have in the way of resources . The Greater Cleveland partnership gave nominal support to endorsing a levee, theres a question of how good of a job are they doing writing the checks. Youre going to paso people to do that. You have the literature, all that, city workers are out in support of it. It cuts to their jobs. I dont think that it comes down to money. They could use some more the mayor doesnt want to use scare tactics. Its hard to overstate what the results of this would be if it fails you think people have a good grasp on this yet . Would be talk about it and you would hear more on social media and other things they could do a little more just getting that information out. We did very unscientific man on the street poll and everyone we talked to were very against it or knew little or nothing about it. Still ahead, how long congressional incumbents keep we have touched on it before. All four Congress Members representing the county. They have Something Else in common, none bothering to debate underdog opponents. First the city club said they would, they invited what do we think . Its a political i decision no not help an opponent who is behind. For those who like to complain, theyre playing politics why not come out and educate the public about the issues and shame on them. The least they could do. Redistricting is whats needed to get rid of the districts. Will speed it up and do something . I think its worth a shot. There could be something on the ballot in next november if something happens hope to see you next week on hello, welcome to 7 minutes the orchestra with the music director. Thank you for joining us. , were going to begin our conversation. Lets look at the maestro at work. . [ music ] . . . [ music ] . . Thank you from having us today. Youve been here since 2002 and you signed a deal that will keep you hear at least th you could go anywhere im sure, why cleveland . Its really unique. For the best orchestra in america which it is, to be situated in a relatively small city is really unique setting. And the spirit of the orchestra is so special. When i came to the first theres great discipline and theres a focus on music only. And, you know, in many of the other big places, if you go to new york, to london, to berlin, theres of course all of this politics involved an all this. Here, its just about the music, period. If you had to pick one ingredient, what would that be . Thats i think its really the mind set. Its what do you want . What do you want to achieve . It all starts here. What do you want to achieve when youre up here . I want to achieve depending on what we play, but in every piece theres a core message, and to get really to the core, to the essence of the piece, playing techicly better than anyone else, but at the day, its all about communicating with the audience and giving what a masterpiece of great art has to say. When i look up hering its like watching a surgeon, a teacher, a coach, all of those things what is going through your head wh conducting is about the movements. Its the silent language. But i would say 50 of my job is psychology. You have 104 musicians, in this case, 104 in front of you, and theyre all extremely well trained, educated, theyre great experts in what they do on their you have to steer them all together in one direction and that takes a lot of psychology. You are like a teacher and coach in that respect. Coach, i think would be the right word. You started off playing the violin. You were in a car accident and damaged some nerves and had to put your violin studies aside and concentrate on conducting. Were you devastated at the point . No. I still tried to play the violin and tried to fight it. And, you know, these things happen in a split second, such as a car accident, but it takes a long time to realize what really had happened. So, it took me really quite a through all of this and know what i wanted to do next. Why conducting . I think simply because i have a talent for it. And its an amazing job. You have to steer all of these people in one direction and its an enormous challenge. You things at the same time and you have to be able to predict things which are about to happen and maybe you have to avoid that or you have to push it. Its a fascinating, really fascinating job. Lets talk about the new season. What are you looking forward to the most . Like always, you have this my favorite, the only thing i would say when we plan is that im always left disappointed because theres only that much time. One is bach. Who is your favorite composer . You go through phases in life. One composer which has accompanied me from my first childhood memory, my mother playing the piano, i must have been three years old. When youre at home, listening to music, is there anything you listen to where folks would go im really surprised that you listen to listen to music at home. I always, when people ask me that question, you know, imagine being a surgeon, going home and watching videos of surgeries. I dont think people do that. Its actually it also to do with my main tools, my ears, what i ear, i have to control and i have to mold it into something what i wa i think its called a busmans holiday. Were honored that you have talked to us. You never do interviews. Someone told me that you have no . . Interest in being a celebrity. As someone with a public job, is that tough . Sometimes it is, yes. You know, i was born it seems to make music. Of course i know that theres im a very private person and i love my privacy. Sometimes its a little hard i have about 15 seconds left. Anything you havent done where you say i have do that . I have at home a huge library, i think several hundreds i would like to do youre going to be busy. Again, an honor. Thank you very much. Thank you for watching, thats all for this week. Ill see you monday at 6 00 on the news and back here next week in 7 minutes a man attacked me in a parking garage. Tried to stab me with an 8inch knife. But i carry a pistol. I fight back. Thats why im still here. Every woman has a right to defend herself with a gun if she chooses. Hillary clinton disagrees with that. Dont let politicians take away your right to own a gun.
