However, the report that 18dayold Lamilyan Mccollum was in that stolen car, police say was a lie. But police were suspicious about that story because they say officers were at walmart already searching for the baby. Now benton in in charged with inducing panic, making false alarms, and obstructing official business. Weve learned benton was on probation already for an aggravated menacing conviction after threatening to shoot her sister in the face. The baby and her two other children are with job and family services. 3 benton isnt the only one facing charges. Her car really was stolen.
