News 6 reporter Justin Warmoth is in groveland. One man was shot to death by a posse and three others were tried and convicted when the death sentences of two of the men were overturned, then the lake county sheriff lewis mccall picked them up for trial and then he said they tried to escape and he shot and killed them. Now hes going to read the exoneration of the four men involved. Usually theyre accusing us of doing something and thats it. Youve just done it, you know. Bernice hodges knows firsthand how bad those times were. Shes lived in groveland her entire life and actually knew all four men. They told her they were innocent. I was hurt because the guys said they didnt do it. With the help of this proclamation, the start of righting a wrong could be on its way.
