Anticipation is building right now, but as Justin Warmoth shows us, the wind is a big worry. Reporter the Spacex Falcon 9 rocket is now on the pad, fueling up ahead of tonights air force station. Right now, its the wind that has Mission Managers concerned right now, its pretty strong out here. The hope is it will calm down by lunchtime to get the satellite into orbit, which has been delayed since last summer. When spacexs falcon9 rocket disintegrated when it launched from the cape in june of 2015, not only did it lose valuable cargo for the astronauts on the International Space station, it also delayed several future launches, including one the satellite operator s. E. S. Has been waiting since last summer summer. While the mission is important for the european satellite provider, its not whats catching everyones attention. That was the reaction from spacex headquarters after the falcon9 rockets first stage landed successfully on a pad at the Cape Canaveral air force station in december. Tonights landing attempts wont be on land, though. Instead, spacex will attempt to land it on a floating, unmanned barge, 400 miles off the Brevard County coast. Spacex has come close but has not been able to land the booster during its three previous tries in the atlantic and say they dont expect it to land successfully tonight either.
