temperatures are in the 30s area-wide. sunshine is up. sun is up. we have bright sunshine out there this morning. we're looking for a pretty mild day after a pretty yuck day yesterday. a raw saturday. but today, much nicer. temperatures seasonal warm. we'll get up above the average which is about 42 degrees today. with the sun out and temperatures up, we'll continue the melt-down of all the snow that is still on the ground. a lot of folks incolluding me still having -- including me still having ice issues. just refreezing every night. today your forecast looks like this. 44 degrees. mostly sunny. tonight down around 20 degrees and the average overnight low is 24. 46 tomorrow. is some sun and turning cloudy. we're going to set our sights on potential precipitation move intoog the region for tuesday. we'll have your complete updated forecast coming up in just a moment. now here is a look at -- several key leaders in egypt's ruling party have resigned, but that hasn't stopped massive protests around the world. wjz from the united nations to new york. changes to egypt's ruling party, but it's not enough for these protesters. with that story coming up. largest opposition group, the muslim brothers said they will begin talks to end the crisis that is going on for days. now the group is still insisting on the immediate removal. so far he said that he will not do that not until the election this september. and back here in the us, and update to a serious accident we told you about yesterday morning. state police say a man has now died from the. chopper 13 was over the scene late friday after two suvs collided on route 222. kerry williams was killed in that accident. the other driver is recovering. the crash has remained under investigation this morning. and a man is accused of videotaping several women naked inside their own home, and the vick is times never knew it at all. charles novak is accused of illegally filming a teenage girl inside her home. officers say officers seized a video allegedly shot inside the teen's home along with a mange ed woman in her home last fall and another woman from almost three years ago. >> it kind of makes me want to pull on my shades. and county police say if you think you are a victim of the peeping tom in that area, call them at (410)222-8610. the mother of a murdered university of maryland student joins other students in protests outside the county police headquarters. dustin was one of 16 people murdered in the county last month. police say the killing may have been drug-related and accusation dayshaw strongly denies. have joined ticket -- picketers urging police to work with the community to stop try lens. and maryland has approved plans for bge to raise its rates and reports utility now has planned to seek more hikes over the next several years. when it comes to electricity, many people are trying to conserve by shopping around for electric suppliers and making sure not to waste power. >> i also did put new windows in my home and i got a new bge thermostat. so that kind of helps as well to help reduce my bill. >>reporter: but no matter what you do, one part of your bill is going up. the cost of delivering electricity to your home over bte's polls and wires. >> it's replacing cable. it's replacing polls. it's investing in technology. >>reporter: bge just areceived approval for a rate increase filed in december that will add an average of 16 there are dollar to its fee of bringing electricity to your home and an i ash an additional $10 for gas customers. another request for an increase will be made in october. >> we really do need to file more regularly for rate adjustments. we will be filing for an increased rate justment this year. >> only the saving grace is the unit price of actual electricity is going down by about 20% over the last two years. some smart families have shopped around for alternative suppliers. >> we have a growing family. we just had another pay by. we have three children so we have to manage our costs. wjz eyewitness news. bge plans to invest $3 billion in the next few years to make sure the delivery of electricity is more dependable. and as we mentioned a little earlier on, several key leaders in egypt's ruling party have resigned this morning. the story from new york. >>reporter: gas-fueled flames spewed in egypt's peninsula inth eastern part of the country saturday. security officials blamed terrorist for sabotaging a pipeline disrupting the flow of gas to isreal and jordan n. cairo, thousands of protesters remained. some are have been there for nearly two weeks. crude and newspapers are for sale. there's even a first aide area to treat the wounded. >> you can get the principal thunks. >>reporter: protesters briefly scuffled with members of the military, but the demonstrations were mostly peaceful with children joining the al lee after nightfall. protesters stood shoulder to shoulder in front of the united nations of new york saturday taking a stand against egyptian president mumbaric. >> people have been quiet for too long. >>reporter: protesters have held numerous rallies over the last week in new york hoping their solidarity and consistency will force mubaric to design. the okay administration has not pushed for the president to immediately step down. >> the president's continued leadership is critical and his opportunity to write his own legacy. >>reporter: secretary of state hillary clinton also spoke on the crisis while attending an international security conference. she says it's important egyptian leaders demonstrate transition underway to keep the middle east stable. in new york, wjz eyewitness news. and back here in maryland, if you ride the bus in baltimore, be sure to double check the schedule. starting today, mpa will adjust 14 bus routes and schedules in the city. mpa says the changes are needed to provide better service providers and to make those roots more efficient. state police are boosting patrols to keep fans safe this superbowl sunday. all 22 state police will put out additional patrols to target drunk driving today. so, if you are planning to enjoy a few adult beverages, police say make sure that you have a designated drive, or call a cab. and on superbowl sunday, two former ravens football players will receive the highest honors around the nation, rather. >> that's right. tight end shannon sharp and quarterback dionne sanders are both elected to the football hall of fame. sharp played a key role in the only superbowl victory ten years ago including a memorable touchdown against the raders in the play-offs. san jose is considered one of the best ever in his position. he continued his career for the ravens in 2004 and 2005. more nicknames. but, yeah. >> yeah. >> the glory days of the ravens way back when. >> not this year. >> no. >> you know, i'm one of those who -- of course, i have been listening to all the folks reminiscing about ten years ago. the ravens and the superbowl. but i find it a little bit sad that we have to think ten years ago for the last real highlights that we don't have anything between then we are warym than we have been over the last few days. we were going up to about 44 degrees today. yesterday we were just around 38. and we're going to -- going to see temperatures pretty much in the aabove average range for the next day or so, today and tomorrow. tomorrow we're actually close to 50 in some parts of the region. what we're going to see is 35 right now. 25 is your dew point. relative humidity at ever 6% with winds from the west at six miles per hour. barometer now at. 06789 what we're going to also see is temperatures going up from here in the low to mid 340s. 28 in oakland. 38 in ocean city. we have 34. and temperatures in elkton are reflecting a bit of a warm wind coming through from the west. so it's warming up as it moves across land and temporarily includes are going to start warming up with all of us because of the same flow. we do have a bit of a other northwest pattern here for much of the state. that is if it's fog to if what you're going to be watching over the next 24 hours. we'll have a good bit of sunshine today. tonight some patchy fog. and tomorrow we'll have a good bit of sun is early on and the clouds will thicken. you're watching a little moisture coming in from the west. a little trailing moisture coming not from the southwest and what we're going to see is that kind of converging. it's really that western edge of a front moving into the region that we're going to be keeping the closest eye on at least for tomorrow into tuesday. what it's going to mean is with the front moving on through here, we'll have a chance of in the colder hours of monday night into tuesday, we'll see a chance of a rain/snow mix. front moves through here. but temperatures on tuesday go right back up into the 40 at the grow range. we melt down pretty nicely heading into the middle of the week. by thursday, we're going to be setting our sites on yet another storm system that could get our attention here. we're going to see it start to form on the computer model. and we're going to get a better handle on how we're going to see that together and affect us. by monday and tuesday, we'll have a good idea. we'll keep you posted. thursday is >> yes. >> breaking into a home after christmas, and he had a camera. but the investigation now he faces 21 counts. seen a peeping form and now a letter has gone unout from the homeowner's association. >> i feel for the women that, you know, are caught up in this situation where it -- with it being video taped without knowing what's going on. >> one woman who livid on this block must have been stunned when police came to her with videotapes and asked her to look at them. when she did, she saw herself on tape naked in her own home. how do police figure out who the women are on the video tame? >> yes. steeler nation. >>reporter: their vocal pipes are getting warmed up. and they're already in full gameday garb. >> i'm a huge star why wars fan and a huge packer's fan so i just decided to combine them together. >>reporter: steelers and packers fans converged on cowboy country ahead of superbowl 45. the dallas area bars devoted to each individual team are starting to do gang buster business. >> it's awesome. it's awesome. we have been busy since monday. great day. >> but it wasn't easy for the tens of thousands of fans who will see sunday's game to get here. this week's ice storm, fridged temperatures and snow so forced hundreds of flights to be canceled at dallas area airports. it should have taken this pittsburg couple six hours to get the ballot. >> how long did it end uptaking? >> about a day and a half. >> worth it? >> oh my gosh. 14u7b% worth it. go steelers. >>reporter: saturday crews worked to remover the remaining ice and snow that accumulated on top of cowboys stadium. a big chunk fell off sending six people to the hospital. the nfl says everything will be ready for sunday's game. the fans are ready and looking forward to the match-up between the two legendary teams. kevin gibson, wjz eyewitness news. >> wow, they are happy u. more than 100,000 people are expected to see this superbowl. in person. >> and that is about the population of green bay, wisconsin. >> wow. >> that is interesting. >> i have to say, though, i'm happy for all the steelers fans who have a team. we're all jealous. that's the bottom line. but our two reining steeler fans in house here running from door to door so we don't catch them in the hallways. they know not to talk too much about this terrible towel. >> they lost quickly through this building. so, you know, but we're going to be looking at a pretty decent forecast. they were sweating it early on. they were sweating $200 tickets for people to watch the game outside in the prommed ins and all. in the snow and the ice. they have temperatures much like you have now. they'll be in the 40s. they'll be okay for today. and right now we're looking at a good bit of sunshine out and about. sun is going to continue to melt down the snow we have on the ground and will do the same thing in arlington, texas. temperatures are going up into the 40s and that is going to be from the happen of a very light wind of the west/southwest. the barometer is at 29.90. high pressure in the region. that is is going to go up. 35. 66% relative humidity. the winds are from the west currently at six miles per hour. 28 in oakland is the coldest spot in the state right now. 38 down in ocean city is the warmest. everyone else falling somewhere between the two. 37 down in the nation's capitol. the winds coming in from the northwest at 7-miles per hour. but we will get more of a west/southwesterly flow as part of the day. and the winds are going to calm down substantially over what they were yesterday into tonight. so much toe one indication is always the small craft advisories. we have one that will be lifted as of 10:00 because the winds are expected to subside. we're going to be watching two portions of a storm system moving on through a front. a boundary is going to push through bringing some cold precipitation up in the areas north of the mason dixon line, and just a bit of southerly flow is going to bring in some rain. those two systems should stay apart enough to only bring us maybe a rain/snow mix. we're talking monday night into tuesday. chimp you are -- temperatures are going to be in the 40s. we're not really looking at any major disturbance. as they move on through, you will see them come through when temperatures are at their coldest. temperatures rebound very nicely right back into tuesday. tuesday will be up around 40 degrees. but before then, today, 44. tomorrow 46. so we're going to see a nice melt-down underway right on now through today. the end of your weekend. and the beginning of your work week. small craft advisory we mentioned will be lifted as of 10:00. and manage henry at 8:34 is happening right now. so, today going up to just around 44. mostly sunny. seasonably mild. the normal high for this date i mentioned a little earlier is 42. the average overnight low is 24. so we're above on both counts there. 46 tomorrow. some sun but turning cloudy ahead of that front. 38 on tuesday. 35 on wednesday. and out storm coming through on wednesday. we're going to keep a close eye on 32. and then 40 on friday. >> and once we finish this week, valentine's day is next monday. >> you're already in your value entierch's -- >> yeah, but i come prepared. >> so still ahead on eyewitness news sunday morning, is next monday in this year? >> we have is in here. we have swiss. this one is on a dark rye. it serves about five or six people. and then we give you coleslaw with it and pickles and chorally open approximate -- clairely peppers. so it's a nice little appetizer for in the game. >> and now, of course, we would lover to have at that when that trophy but we'll settle for that one. that is not a bad thing. >> that will be your lunch. that is your trophy for coming in early on sunday. >> oh, wow. >> and mark, you guys are tradition that baltimore. you're 96. the deli is 96 years aold. and it is the oldest family ever had owned jewish deli in the country. >> that's correct. >> i'm the third generation. my grandparents larry and ida anman started here in 1915 when sandwiches were fiver cents. >> five cents. >> you didn't get the lumbar trophy for five cents back teen?
