Voiceover the key of david with gerald flurry. Gerald flurry greetings, everyone. One of the most mysterious prophecies in all the bible is in psalm chapter 83. Now, this prophecy is tied both to the old and new testament, but even the commentaries, when they talk about it, realize that there is Something Special here, but many of them dont understand it and dont really understand what it means. It is a prophecy about war, a prophecy about a war thats actually skipped over in daniel 11, but i want to fill in that gap today because this prophecy reveals the direction of politics in europe and the middle east in the near future. Now, what could be more important in world news than that . What could be more important than that . And you will see that already, deals are being made thats even partly fulfilling this prophecy, even today, even now. Notice psalm 83 and verse 1, keep not thou silence, o god hold not thy peace, and be not still, o god. 2 for, lo, thine enemies make a tumult and they that hate thee have lifted up the head. 3 they have taken crafty counsel against thy people, that is, israel, and consulted against thy hidden [or sheltered] ones. The sheltered ones would be gods very elect, those that god protects. But these are enemies against god and israel and the very elect, gods own spiritual israel. Against those, against what god is doing, in many ways, and yet if you look closely at this, it all fits into gods plan. God is behind it because its all fulfilling his plan. But it has at the end of it the most joyful vision that you could possibly see, and it is good news that this world needs to understand in the face of all of the bad news we see around us. Why is this prophecy in the book of psalms, would you say . Thats really unusual to see a prophecy like this in the book of psalms, but the psalms were, after all, mostly written by david, and david sat on a throne, and that throne that he sat on is in one of these three nations of israel that are discussed here in particular. Three of them, in particular. There are more, but god is focusing on three of them. And there is a job, then, for gods very elect to proclaim that message about that throne in the midst of all these problems because that throne is going to solve all of our problems on this earth because these problems that you see around you are a sign that jesus christ, or the messiah, is about to come, and hes going to rule from that throne and bring us all the abundant joy and happiness and prosperity that weve always desired but have never been able to achieve. Notice verse 4 of psalm 83. This is very revealing, and you can see its a deceitful alliance. They have said, come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of israel may be no more in remembrance. Now, those are strong words. Here we have israel, which really is today comprised of nations, not just one Little Nation in the middle east, and our book on the United States and britain in prophecy explains all of that to you. But its to more than just that Little Nation in the middle east. This alliance, it says, is an enemy of israelphysical or National Israel and spiritual israel. An enemy, and they want to just totally destroy israel and even the name of israel. They want it to be obliterated i mean, this is a deepseated hatred and when you think about it, its very similar to what ahmadinejad says today about the Little Nation called israel that he wants to wipe them off the face of the earth. Heres something that in one sense is even worse. What is going to happen in the middle east and in europe . Because there is a european nation here involved in this as well. Notice that in verse 5 through verse 8. Well, i just again want you to think about how deep the hatred is here, but you see why it says there the enemies of god is because god is one that changed jacobs name to israel when he was converted, so this israel is a plan that god has and if you look in the bible closely youll see that all mankind is going to become israel before this is over. Romans 11 talks about the gentiles being grafted in, so the whole book is about israel. The whole future is about israel, and thats why its against god. But still, god is playing a role in all of this, and his plan is being worked out. Im not trying to denigrate any nation or nations. Im simply telling you how god is working out his plan with all nations. God is going to save most of humanity. Now notice verses 5 through 8, though. For they have consulted together with one consent that is, these nations that are allied in the middle east, and they are confederate against thee 6 the tabernacles of edom, now, who is that . And the ishmaelites; of moab, and the hagarenes; 7 gebal, and ammon, and amalek; the philistines with the inhabitants of tyre; well, now, tyre still has the same name it had anciently. All you have to do is get a bible map or really even any map and find tyre, and you know that this is talking about lebanon. So lebanon is one of these nations. And then assur, well, who is that . Well, assur was the father of assyria, and weve proven for years that assyria was just the ancient name of germany, that germany is the modern name of assyria. You can see that in our booklet also on the holy roman empire, which will really explain that to you very clearly, and i mean itll be irrefutable when you look at the proofs that we present to you. But, then, also, 8 assur also is joined with them they have helped the children of lot. Selah. So under herbert w. Armstrong, years ago, they wrote in his plain truth magazine that edom was turkey. Now you can prove that very easily. Its not hard. But turkey did move from where they were anciently. And its also the ishmaelitessaudi arabia; moabjordan; hagarenesanciently dwelt in the land known as syria today; gebalalso lebanon; amnonis also jordan. So these are not just extremely precise, but it gives you a pretty exact picture of where all these nations are and who theyre going to be allied with in the very near future. Now, look, god put these nations there so we could understand. He named them so we could understand what is going to happen in the middle east and in europe, and that you need to be aware of it because it is going to be, in many ways, a kind of a violent turn to the right, as it has happened in the recent past, and we ought to know that. But youll have three of those nations there are actually mentioned twice, and i think that just indicates the division in those nations even today, to a great degree. But this alliance is going to bring them all together, and theyre going to have a goal and a focus thats going to dumbfound the world. But these are nations basically that are not going to be allied with iran. Now, some of them are pretty close to iran today, but theres going to be some changes. These are not really close to them, spiritually, lets sayin their religion, and for other reasons theyre going to be pulling away. But one european nation, germany, is going to work and going to really do a lot to unite these nations right here, all of them that are named. So i mean, as i said, this is not totally precise, but remember thisgod puts those nations there for a reason, and he knows if we really know our bibles we will understand them and who they are and where those nations are today. Thats why he names them; otherwise, god wouldnt have inspired that. Jesus christ said we have to live by every word of god. But youll notice there that iraq and iran are not mentioned, even their ancient names, and egypt, libya, ethiopiatheyre not there either because theyre going to be allied with the king of the south, or iran, and weve pointed that out in daniel 11, verses 40 through 43. And it appears that iraq is going to be just solidly with iran, and i have been predicting that since the early 90s because of what these prophecies say. Ive been predicting it that long. Youre not going to see iraq become democratic; its not going to happen, and theres going to be really a great strong turn toward iran in that nation. Certainly it was a mistake for us to remove Saddam Hussein from iraq if we werent going to have the will to keep iran out of iraq, but weve not kept them out and they have the upper hand in iraq, even now, and the whole middle east knows that. And thats one reason why they fear iran so much. But here we have really counting assyria or germany, there are ten nations here, and they are basically led by germany, and you could say, well, now, is that possible . Well, you ought to look at whats going to happen in europe. Theres going to be ten nations there, counting germany, as well, or ten kings, and germany is going to absolutely dominate them. Look at isaiah 10, verse 5 through 7. Thats an end time prophecy and god says, oh, assyrian the rod of mine indignation the rod of my wrath hes using nations to correct nations, and he doesnt even mention the ten kings, he just mentions the assyrians because thats where the power is, and ill show you some of that if i have time today, and i think i will. But weve got to understand these modern names. Now, here is something that really is critical for you to understand. Notice. Ill just read from my booklet on the king of the south. There has never been such an alliance to attack or totally destroy israel in history. Notice this. Concerning this psalm, the anchor bible reads, history transmits no record of the National Crisis when the nations enumerated in this psalm formed a league to wipe out israel. heres what langes commentary says, the 10 nations who are here enumerated as being combined against israel, are never mentioned elsewhere as enemies allied at the same time and for the purpose of annihilating israel. other commentaries take the same view. But look, that makes this an end time prophecy because it has not been fulfilled yet it hasnt been fulfilled yet so it has to be for this end time. Now, most of the muslims, as you probably know from history, were allied with hitler and germany in world ii. Now, that is a fact of history, and they knew what hitler was doing to the jews, but hitler hated the jews, and so do many of the arabs. That is just reality and germany allied themselves with these nations because they had interest in the middle east, even at that time. But what this shows, and why its so critically important to you, is that it shows that germany is going to make a dangerous and a radical turn to the right, and theyre already turned more than most people realize, but theyre going to go right back to that rightwing kind of political stance that they had in world war ii, only in many ways its going to be worse now, im not down on germany because god is going to use germany mightily in the world tomorrow, but im just telling you what is going to happen, and god, himself, has a hand in it and germany is going to lead what we would call today these moderate arabs, but theyre going to be turning to the right along with germany. And thats really some of the most amazing information you could possibly receive because it gives you a good insight into whats going to happen in the middle east. But youre going to see some terrible things begin to happen in this world because there are going to be all kinds of crises, and thats going to make people panicky and desperate, and theyre going to do desperate things. So let me just read you something here about whats going on right now, that you dont read much about in the world. Kuwaitthe kuwaiti emir. Toured europe in late april and early may. This was from our trumpet magazine, july 2010, and he was concentrating on developing closer relations with berlin and the Roman Catholic church. During his meeting with german chancellor Angela Merkel and german businessmen on april 28, he is reported to have discussed a host of bilateral relations that would cement partnership between kuwait and berlin from the kuwait times, april 28. A catholic official said his trip to the vatican would enable the emir and the pope to express their appreciation and friendship and to strengthen the good relations that exist between the holy see and kuwait. now, you see again, what this is, is that psalm 83 prophecy being fulfilled even now you can see them coming together even now, those that are not going to be allied with iran, at least for very long. So thats whats happening. Theyre preparing for this psalm 83 alliance. Ill have to read to you a little more here. This is from thetrumpet. Com, 2010, and heres what it says, in a recent interview, gutenberg confirmed that germany will continue its mandate to secure the mediterranean. Additionally, he indicated the imminent strengthening of naval patrols off the sinai peninsula. This, together with the recently announced united arab emirategerman consortium, now, thats another nation thats allying themselves with germany, there next to saudi arabia. And its about, building warships for deployment in the persian gulf, is of particular interest to students of Bible Prophecy as it falls directly in line with what our editor in chief has identified as the psalm 83 alliance. Weve talked about that for years, and here you see that germany has through really the authority of the united nations, has naval boats off the coast of lebanon, and they have naval boats off the horn of africa there around somalia and the gulf of aidan. In other words, theyre at the east and the west end of the suez canal or the sea leading into it. And they are thinking very much about the mediterranean and the suez canal and that oil flowing from the middle east because they know how critical that is. Also, germany has the Third Largest army in afghanistan, so they have a very great interest there to be on actually the west flank of iran because they know that iran is playing a key role. So where is this all leading . Why is germany so involved in the middle east . And its almost all under the radar, as they say. Nobody seems to notice much about it. Now, they did have a pact with france in europe to build warships, and france was, well, sort of dragging their feet and germany decided, well, theyd change that, and let me show you what they did. I mean, germanyif they dont find a partner that will really work closely with them, they just move elsewhere and keep right on going. I mean, they already have enormous power in this world, and most people dont even recognize it. Where is it all leading . Well, weve been telling you that for about seventy years, or maybe a little less than that. But here, thiessenkrupp says this, to renounce civilian ship production, they just passed by france, now theyre going to concentrate its dockyard solely on arms production. Thats like the way it was in world war ii. They were building up all these arms and made their own economy geared for producing military armaments. It was revolving around Building Military armaments, and i tell you, germanys going the same way again. But who notices this . Well, they dont see whats happening because they dont understand Bible Prophecy. And so theyve entered a partnership with kuwait and the united arab emirates. Well, in this case, its the emirates, not kuwait. But here, germanforeignpolicy. Com made this statement, if a german dominated european solution cannot be accomplished, berlin will do without europe and go it alone. Now, that shows a lot of power a lot of power in this country already and theyre building up these alliances in the middle east to pull these countries away from iran and the direction that iran is going, so you can see why iran and europe or germany are going to clash. Its already building toward that, and how could we possibly know these things are going to happen, unless we understood Bible Prophecy and know exactly what god said would happen this is just amazing that all of this is happening, and people know so little about it. Then it goes on to talk about qatar, whichever way you want to pronounce that, how theyre investing, and other arabs are investing in the german economy, and they really have some very close ties. So germany has close ties with what are called the moderate arabs, although theyre going to take a mighty turn to the right in the future, themselves. But the gulf states have just continually been investing in germany, but here is what it says from this same article. Abudabis joining the german maritime ship building industry signals berlins fundamental change of strategy in its longterm efforts to help bring the german arms industry to a position of predominance in europe. Oh, so germany is building a predominance of arms in europe and now in the middle east, as well. What does that all mean to you . Germany, once again, is merging Economic Policy with military policy. And we created a document after world war ii vowing that wed never, ever let germany do that again let them arm like that again why did we establish that document . Because they started world war i and they started world war ii and they have a history of starting a lot of wars because theyve got hooked into a very evil system that leads them in the wrong direction. But still, god is using them for his own purpose to correct some evil people that should know better. But we have to realize what is happening here and its going to involve everybody on this earth, to one degree or another. So i mean, germany and the arabs just really have a common history, even going back to world war i when germany was tied with the Muslim Brotherhood of egypt, if you can believe that i mean, theyve had a long history together, and germany has a lot of friends in the middle east, and they are the most powerful nation in europe, and they are now really the most powerful nation in the middle east, contrary to what iran thinks. They have more power, and they also have the nuclear bomb already, so they are, indeed, very, very powerful. We wrote in one of our articles that there was something that saudi arabia and europe especially just cannot permit to happen, and they cannot permit iran to get control of those gulf states there that are rich in oil, and right now dont want to have anything to do with iran, and they dont like iran, and theyre not going to let iran take their oil and get control of them without a war, and germany is right there with them as America Withdraws our fifth fleet is in bahrain, and germany is helping them, right now. And america keeps pulling out, and Everybody Knows that, so they need somebody to help them, and theyre looking to germany. Well, we have a lot here about bahrain, and yet i dont have time to get into it, but germany is again tied in very closely with these nations like that and have a lot of strength there, and you need to understand these prophecies.
