this book. when you sat down to write it did you think to yourself, man, do i want to get involved in this? >> yes. when my editor asked me, he said i thought the book was a biblical background. let's say a letter written by highest court. i said that's crazy. it was written by christ against the background of the murder. i thought it will be awful. i was drawn to it and drawn back to it. i thought, you know, supposed byly cal skoal lar has been missing by 600 years, the letter written by christ to joseph. shortly after that the byly cal skoal lar is found shot to death if his study. his wife, who has alzheimer's is in the closet covered with blood, holding the gun saying so much noise, so much blood. ill thought, it is a -- i thought, this is a story i can tell. >> this the first time you put always i'mers in a book and -- alzheimer's in a book and is there a reason for it? >> yes, it is. people are dealing with alzheimer's victims. my nephew has his mother-in-law living with him for 3 years. he said he's woke up and she was stairing at him. sometimes she thinks he is her ex-husband and other times she's sweet. hearing all this, i thought it would be interested to do the alwayszheimer's. -- always timeers alzheimer's. it will help the understanding of it and also i think it contributes to the telling of the story. >> you have to fight the fact that you can make the
