beating clinging to life. sharon love from cockiesville, the mother of yardly love, wiped awear tears as prosecutors went into great details about the day her daughter died, jurors heard about her roommate coming home to this apartment in may of 2010. she found yardly face down in a pillow covered up with a blanket. when the roommate tried waking her up she saw blood and an ugly eye injury to the star lacrosse player's eye. in their opening arguments prosecutors say she died of blunt force trauma and her ex- boyfriend, george hugley, seen here walking into the court for the first time since the trial started planned the beating in advance, key evidence an e-mail sent days earlier, he wrote, a few days ago you said you would get back together with me if i stopped drinking so much. i a dumpster and threw away her computer but disagree if it was a cover up. both sides agree they drank heavily the day of the death. so much so the defense will argue love passed out after the fight and suffocated in her own pillow. but prosecutors argue the liquor fueled his rage and it is no excuse for first degree murder. george hugley has been paying very close attention to the proceedings
