everyone. in the last week, there have been eight murders in baltimore city. tonight, the community's holding a vigil for him. >> it doesn't matter about gender or anything. >> disbelief and age and shock. . neighbors saw 8 homicides recently including the 23-year- old researcher, stephen pitcairn. >> this man lived in a small, east baltimore apartment. it was a perfect location for him. he loved to take care of his ark church. i'm not believing this and leaving him out here to die like this, their soul won't rest with this. >> i don't know what it is and how to feel. >> reporter: the only thing missing, hill's green scooter, it was a retirement present from his daughter. >> and other than that, nothing else was taken from the victim. it looks like another senseless death here in baltimore. >> tonight, several will gather around the church to call for an end to the violence. >> the last community meeting ended with the residents taking over the microphone and shouting about how they feel unsafe. >> we're fed up and angry that these things happen over and over and over again. >> it's so constant -- these innocent people, people going to school and trying to do something in their lives. they're using their lives. >> right now, the police have no suspects and the vigil starts tonight at 6:00 p.m.. don, back to you. thank you, and he's survived by three children and several grandchildren. this morning, homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting of a woman shot in her neck. she was pronounced dead at sinai hospital. the husband of a paramedic is suing the government. he says that the faa was negligent. this is the second suit filed in the case. maryland's attorney general's office appears to support the right of citizens to record the police interactions. they said it's unlikely that the encounters with the police should be considered private. and some marylanders are facing criminal charges for violating the wire tabbing law which requires the consent of both parties. and after 14 days in jail, lindsey lohan is a free woman. she was released about an hour and a half ago. she was sentenced to 90 days for violating her probation. she's required to report to a three month rehab program. >> back here, medical marijuana is legal in washington, d.c. and it has the change of many marylanders wondering if it could work here. >>
