of campus, two basketball players shot, one killed and tonight a fellow student stands accused. >> good evening, thank you for joining us i'm adam may. the student arrest second from glen burnie accused of opening fire early this morning on east college avenue across from the university. wjz is live, derek valcourt has the latest on the investigation for us. >> reporter: the entire incident started with a fight at a party earler in the night. but it ended hours later with a 12-gauge shotgun. police say 21-year-old student, tyrone hall pulled out a shotgun after being confronted at his off campus house by a group of fellow students accusing him of assaulting a young woman at a party. a blast killed 20-year-old sophomore brandon carol and seriously wounded 21-year-old ellis har trig, who is recovering in the hospital. both of the victims members of of the basketball team. the university president says the entire campus is shaddenned and shocked. >> we have already had a meeting with the other members of the basketball team. and offered them our support. >> reporter: hall was a star soccer player from baltimore's mount st. joseph's high school when he graduated in 2007. a family member came to the door but did not what happened to speak on camera but says there is more to the story and tyrone was acting in self defense. neighbors are stunned by the news and wonder what led to the shooting. >> he was definitely a nice person. but did he do it out of stress or did something trigger him off? i can't say. >> reporter: university officials are making grief counseling available to students on campus who want it. >> it's a safe campus overall. this is an isolated and really unfortunate incident and we really want our students, faculty and staff to know that this is still a very safe place to be. >> reporter: tyrone has been charged with murder and attempted murder. he is held without bail at the allegheny county detention center, derek valcourt, wjz eye witness news. the university president says they will be planning a campus memorial for earlier in the week. although an exact time and date have not been set. a fourth deadly shooting. a man was found fatally shot in the head before noon inside a car. no word on his identity or suspect tonight. on friday alone baltimore saw five separate shootings that claimed the lives of three people. police are calling the death of a 2-year-old girl a homicide. the girl was found dead in the bathtub of a home in the 200 block of east hoffman street. police say she suffered multiple injuries, possibly infected with a belt. police charged her father, tyrone ham ber, the third, with her murder. an update we brought you earlier. a man accused of killing and burning his wife. the 82-year-old woman was found inside the home. her husband, 83-year-old thomas, is held without bond tonight. investigators believe he killed his wife and set their home on fire. an autopsy said she died from blunt force trauma. he was charged with murder and arson before being treated for injuries. toyota plans to pay up to the government for failing to report gas pedal problems on the vehicles. toyota expected to agree to a $16.4 million fine, the deadline to contest the record breaking fine is tomorrow. video has been incredible but the follow up from the volcanic eruption in iceland left hundreds of thousands of travelers standed. torrell brown reports. >> reporter: test flights took to the skies over europe as major airlines look for ways to get planes in the air. pilots did not report problems
