mcginnis is in washington with details. susan, good morning to you. >> terrell good morning. armstrong hoped these allegations were over but the drug agency says it has new evidence armstrong's lawyer calls it a vendetta. for seven consecutive years, lance armstrong waved the u.s. flag as champion of the tour de france. now, the u.s. anti-doping agency says he used performance-enhancing drugs during his title runs. armstrong has repeatedly said he never doped. >> we've proven time in and time out there were claims. >> but the drug agency said it recently uncovered evidence that armstrong used epo, as well as blood transfusions, testosterone and court coe steroids from 1996 until 2004. u.s. federal prosecutors close a two-year criminal probe this past february but unlike the justice department, the u.s. ada does not have to prove a crime was committed, only that drugs were used. the drug agency has ten former teammates who have testified that lance armstrong used drugs. it also says armstrong used a campaign of intimidation to keep witnesses from testifying. tyler hamilton is one witness who came forward. >> i did see a transfusion, a blood transfusion. >> he told "60 minutes" he saw armstrong use drugs during the 1999 tour de france. >> really no difference between lance armstrong and the majority of the them. >> the armstrong claims there is a difference between him and the cyclists who were busted using drugs. he says i have competed as an endurance athlete for 25 years with no spike in performance. passed more than 500 drug tests and never failed one. armstrong faces a possible lifetime ban from the sport. as of now, he's banned from triathalons where he's competed since he retired from cycling. >> thank you, susan. the prosecution in jerry sandusky's child molestation case could wrap up arguments tomorrow. three more alleged victims testified yesterday, one identified as victim number 10. he said he was sexually abused and he was threatened if he told anybody he'd never see his family again. the former penn state football coach is charged with molesting ten boys over a 15-year period. he denies the charges. government forces have recaptured a rebel stronghold near the mediterranean coast. the battle lasted eight days with both sides deploying heavy weapons. a human rights group says hundreds of rebel fighters pulled out overnight. u.n. observers have been unable to reach him. this amateur video allegedly shows a u.n. convoy confronted by supporters on tuesday. back in this country in the race for the white house, president obama and mitt romney will be campaigning in the critical state of ohio today. it's the first time they've campaigned in the same state on the same day. the president in cleveland, romney in cell phone maker nokia plans to lay off 10,000 workers worldwide. the finnish company says the cuts will take place by the end of 2013. noek i although it's cutting costs, it remains focused on the smartphone market. timothy geithner is pushing european leaders to lay out specific steps on how to solve the kopt nent's debt crisis. last night the treasury secretary said that by presenting concrete plans on fixing europe's finances, leaders will help improve investor confidence. his remarks come days before an important vote in greece and next week's g-20 summit in mexico. europe's debt crisis weighed heavily on overseas markets. there are concerns that cyprus could be the next economy to buckle. that sent asian stocks lower. tokyo's nikkei was down a quarter percent. the hang seng lost 1%. on wall street, news that retail sales slipped in may sent stocks lower. the dow lost 77 points. the nasdaq was down 24. and the number of homes that entered the foreclosure process was up in may. the firm realty trac reports the number of homeowners received default or scheduled home auction notices was up 12% from april and 16% from a year ago. and terrell, that means more homes could committee that his banks multibillion dollar trading loss was an isolated incident and some executives will probably have pay taken back. danielle nottingham reports. >> capitol police escorted protesters out of the hearing room where the ceo of jpmorgan chase came to explain how his bank lost more than $2 billion on risky trades. jamie dimon apologized. but said he wants congress to put it in perspective. >> no client, customers or taxpayer money was impacted by this event. >> senators asked dimon why he was pointing the finger at the bank's investing unit. >> shouldn't you take personal responsibility since they were following the game plan that you personally laid out? >> that's why i'm here. we made a mistake. i'm absolutely responsible. the buck stops with me. >> dimon did say chase will probably take payback from senior executives involved in the risky trades. the hearing comes as congress finalizes new banking regulations, including the so-called volcker rule designed to prevent banks from making risky trades for their own profit. >> it hasn't been written yet. it's very complicated. it may very well stop -- >> lawmakers are trying to get a handle on whether big banks are still a big risk. >> what would you do to make our system safer? >> the biggest disappointment i've had is we never actually sat down, republicans, democrats, businesses and had
