Police mounting an operation to arrest a young suspect accused of killing a mother of four after an alleged road rage incident. This strange and sad story has been evolving days now with a series of twists and turns. And abcs Candace Gibson has been there for all of it. Reporter a tense scene outside this suburban Las Vegas Home. Tactical teams poised to rush in. Helicopters circling overhead. Inside, a suspect in the death of tammy meyers the las vegas mother shot down in her driveway last week. We are currently in the tactical phase of taking a suspect who we believe to be involved in the homicide of miss meyers into custody at this point. Reporter all week, mystery was swirling around over who could have killed the mother of four. And now it ended only one block away from the crime scene. The shirtless suspect apprehended by police. The victims husband robert rushing to the scene. [ bleep ] theres the animal, a block away are you happy . Reporter the suspect is 19yearold eric noesh. He was taken into custody by metro homicide investigators and the investigation is ongoing. He had firearms registered to him. Reporter now facing charges in the murder. Late today another shocking twist. The Meyers Family knew the suspect all along. We knew how bad he was. We didnt know he was this bad, that hed gotten to this point. She was really good to him. She fed him, she gave him money. She told him to pull his pants up and to be a man. Reporter it all began little more than a week ago. Meyers was driving to her Las Vegas Home after giving her teenaged daughter a driving lesson at a nearby middle School Parking lot. She was a good woman and she didnt deserve this. Reporter police say she had a close call with a silver sedan that family members say had multiple passengers. There was a verbal confrontation between meyers and the driver. It all suggested from the beginning that they knew each other. And this was some sort of anger, revenge, prior history that played into ultimately what happened. Reporter according to the family meyers then drove home but the sedan followed. You see just a car coming down. Speeding . Yes. He did shot shot. Reporter initially police said she was shot in the head right then in her driveway. As far as we can tell there was no prior contact with these individuals. A nurse, a nurse and a mother of four. And she had to lose her life for what . Reporter meyers was pulled off life support two days later, valentines day. Her husband for 25 years giving her roses, putting one final rose on her hospital bed. All my life shell never leave my heart. But shes gone. Reporter police on the lookout for a suspect they believed gunned down meyers. The suspect arrived at the residence and began shooting at them. Reporter releasing clues, including this sketch of one of the suspects. And this Surveillance Video of what they believe is the suspects car. This was the only video clip police say captured the tragic incident. Police say the suspects werent done driving around several neighborhoods looking for that mother, daughter and car, finding them, opening fire on meyers. Reporter toward days ago a vastly different account of that alleged road rage incident emerged. Seeming to challenge the idea this all happened because of road rage. Las vegas police saying the 44yearold was likely not followed home immediately after the incident as previously thought. But went home allegedly got one of her sons who grabbed his handgun. Her 22yearold son came out of the house got into the car, he was armed with a firearm. They left the house in search of that person that mrs. Meyers was involved in an incident with. You have to be extremely careful about what you say publicly about a case until all the facts are out. Because what happens is you g caught with the facts that dont fit. And now you basically express to the public one scenario when its not accurate. Tell the public who youre looking for. Heres the description, car description, suspect description. And leave it alone at that point. Reporter according to police, the mother and son spot the suspects vehicle nearby but then rush back home. It was then that the vehicle allegedly followed them into the culdesac, exchanging gunfire with meyers son brandon. I did what i had to do to protect my family. Id do it for anyone. Reporter tammy meyers was apparently killed when her son and the suspect exchanged gunfire. A candlelight vigil on tuesday, the family defending their actions. She was protecting me that night. She did everything she was teaching me how to drive. My son is a hero in my book. Reporter today the family is struggling to pick up the pieces. Nancy grace spoke to Robert Meyers minutes before the suspect was arrested. The father couldnt get through more than two or three sentences without crying. And raising his voice. Very agitated. Talking about his son and his wife being treated like dogs like an mays. The real takeaway here is that the suspect involved in the killing of mrs. Meyers is in custody and off the streets of las vegas. They knew mommy knew who this was one of these people. She just didnt want it to come back here. She tried to get them to go somewhere else. Because she was afraid. Reporter even though in custody he is not the only Person Police are looking for. We still have at least one more suspect to locate. Is this because you have enough probable cause to arrest somebody, thats only youve only gotten partway down the road. What the police have to do is go back and really verify what exactly did happen that night . Reporter answers to those questions will not make the pain the Meyers Family feels go away. The van, meant to take them home from a Doggy Day Care Center stolen at gun point. I was shocked. To hear it. I was so surprised that someone would take a van full of little dogs. I just want my dog back. Reporter their owners worried sick. A big concern is that its going to be so cold. Im really worried she may not survive the night. Reporter today all seven dogs were found in the parked van, shivering but otherwise unhurt. I was afraid she wasnt going to make it through the night. Im so grateful. That shes back. They didnt hurt them and were all getting our dogs back. So theres still good in the world. Reporter police still havent caught the dognappers. But for these folks it is a happy ending. Wagging tails and wide smiles say it all. Its going to be like this probably the rest of the day.
