A 2yearold boy snatched by an alligator and dragged underwater at the upscale grand floridian resort and spa. The family was out relaxing. The father was there nearby and the child was playing in the water, just a foot or so into the water up and attacked. He saw this happen . Yes. Reporter a team of 50 officers are searching into the Morning Hours for the toddler who was on vacation with his family from nebraska. Were not leaving until we recover the child. Reporter Authorities Say the boys parents jumped into the lake and tried to wrestle him away from the gator. The father entered the water and tried to grab the child, was not successful in doing so, at some point im told that the mother also may have entered the water so the parents diligently tried to get the child. Reporter witnesses say they saw an alligator in the water before the attack and describe it as being between four and seven feet long. Authorities say there have been no other recent reports of similar alligator attacks at the lake. There are also no signs warning people of gators in the area but signs posting against swimming in that lake.
