She feels horrible. Kevin lewis, abc7 news. Larry thank you. We are seven hours away from the revised version of President Trumps travel ban taking effect. Today three cases in three courtrooms challenged the measure before it began. One of them is in greenbelt. Maryland bureau chief brad bell is there live for us now with more. Brad . Brad yeah, so the passionate arguments were made this morning and now it is up to a judge to decide if president of the United States had the authority to act as he did. Activists chanted and cheered outside the federal courthouse in greenbelt today. A small and brief rally in support of the lawyers challenging President Trumps revisedded executive order on travel and immigration. We believe that President Trumps action put us all at risk. Brad the legal argument made by both sides in the 90minute hearing were just one. Lawyers for a individuals and Immigration Rights groups say the white house is ordering an illegal muslim ban. This isnt rocket science. Our constitution doesnt permit anyone, any Government Official to do what President Trump attempted to do here. Brad got lawyers who declined comment after the hearing argued this is about National Security and keeping out terrorists. They say it simply asks for temporary salt on travel from six troubled countries until vetting procedures are improved. They also told the judge that candidate trumps comments about a muslim ban should not color the judges ruling about President Trumps actions. The notion rejected by the plaintiffs. They basically ask the court to turn a blind eye to what we all know and what we have all heard. And ignore that it isnt trumps muslim ban. Brad so if judge asked tough questions of both sides in the case. Saying it was impossible to read which way he may have been leaning. He did leave the bench saying that he would attempt to issue his written ruling today. But he wasnt making promises. We stay at the courthouse and well be back at 6 00 with more.
