Four days after the election, only a few Campaign Signs remain in hagerstown. For the incumbent mayor david gysberts, and the challenger former mayor bob bruchey. In the board of Elections Office they are still counting. Unable to declare a winner. Its possible that the absentee ballots and the provisional ballots may change the outcome. Brad here is where they stand, bruchey the republican challenger with 6,48votes to the incumbent gysberts 6,427. They are 58 votes apart. They use a reasonable amount of force. Gysberts made news in november when he refuted Police Brutality did not return our calls. Bob bruchey, the former twoterm mayor was unavailable for an interview but told us by phone he hopes his lead holds when Election Officials count as many as a thousand absentee and provisional ballots next week. Voters can only wait and watch along with the candidates. I dont think my vote would have mattered. Some people just dont care. Other people pay attention. What happens every now and then one computer model gives a different solution or outlook. That is something, you are looking at one of the models now. That happened to us in the past couple of days. We have been saying for the past few days monday would be clear. However, two days ago its a computer model, european model that started to suggest a storm could come by and produce rain in the afternoons. We wrestle with it. Do we go to w the comput so far, we are holding with the forecast. It probably wont rain on monday we keep the eyes open. If the other models come in agreement will be rain. We will awe just the forecast. It comes down do we believe the models or do we stick with our own experience or hunches . I tell the young folks in the Weather Center over the years if you react to the models exclusively, if you live and die by the models you better hope you are a cat.
