Richard well, this is such a heartbreaking story. 8monthold baby is dead. Her accused killer, her livein nanny. But its the circumstances of this death that has left so many people here shaken. Many somber faces and the visitors stopping by the fiske avenue home baby died. 3 30 monday afternoon, the nanny identified as Oluremi Oyindasola was napping on a couch when the baby anita salubi approached crying in a walker. Charging documents say oyindasola tried to feed the baby while she was in the walker, didnt work. She then took the nipple off the bottle and poured the mill income the babys mouth. She did it twice. Baby struggled. Then Oluremi Oyindasola called the childs father who called 911 on the way to the house. The baby unresponsive at the house was pronounced dead. She had suffocated. I was heartbroken when we found the baby was dead. We knew her. I knew the baby. That was my tweetty. A my sweetie. A cute, fat, happy baby. In stafford, two parents arrested and charged with abuse and neglect of children. Somebody called police to a motel there. When they got in the room, a little girl was in the tub, appeared to have burn marks on her face and her head. Several lighters and an open bible and a phone playing what sounded like religious music were found all according to police. Suing the Prince Georges County police department. This is all over an interaction after yesterdays shooting in the iverson mall parking lot. Stephen tschida at the live desk now. What happened here . Stephen the alleged incident went down a few blocks from iverson mall minutes after yesterdays shooting. Prince georges police were searching for a suspect. Officer Robert Parker lives nearby and was walking to his home in street clothes. He fit the lookou stopped him and frisked him. He said when an officer discovered his Service Weapon he was thrown to the ground, injuring his wrist, head and mouth and show of excessive force. He maintains the rough treatment came after he identifieded himself as an officer. At that point nothing warranted him to come and pat me down. I was in shock. He patted me down and got my Service Weapon. A Police Officer. Thats when i got thrown to the ground. He never indicated he was a Police Officer or that he had a gun. So, officer found it on his own. The child as i mentioned was found just about ten minutes away. Interestingly, someone found the child sitting on a sidewalk in the car seat. So police are saying that the person who stole this car had, you know, the time to take this baby out of the vehicle, put it on the sidewalk. That is when someone spotted the child and decided to call 911. The childs name is leo garcia lopez. He is 11 months old. Unloading groceries, taking groceries inside of her home when she left the vehicle running. Thats when the witnesses say they saw a young black teenager walking down the street. He simply hopped in the vehicle and he drove off. Listen in to what the Baltimore City police had to say. Who immediately began the process for an amber alert. Jeff goldberg reports a coalition of the Community Leaders today is trying to protect the historic Slave Cemetery. Jeff the Community Leaders say what is happening is this enormous construction project happening at route 7 and Belmont Ridge in ashburn is this Slave Cemetery that has been here for 150 to 200 years. It has 44 graves of people enslaverred at the belmont plantation. A year ago the Community Leaders dedicated the land and started working with the developers and Loudoun County to preserve the site in construction of the 83 million road project that started last year. A few weeks ago pastor Michelle Thomas noticed a lot of debris at the cemetery as well as fallen trice and that the construction site encroached on the graver yard graveyard and saw that construction workers using the area as a bathroom. She is asking to make sure the site is protected. This represents africanamerican heritage and american heritage.
