Its going to be hosted by the Muslim American women policy forum. But throughout the day many have expressed sense of anxiety about the attack. Its not hard for the local happening here. Today, metros Board Chairman jack evans and the general manager Paul Wiedefeld came here to Prince Georges County to talk to the council to make sure that the council and the riders are on track with what is coming in a and making a plan. Safetrack safety surge 2 will impact org, silver and orange, silver and blue riders. The closures will be supplemented by the bus bridges. But the numbers just dont add up. To getting the number of people where they need to go. Well, one lane car can carry nearly 1,000 passengers. One of those buses can only carry 50 or so. While there will be added buses, it wont be as much capacity as those trains. So tonight Prince Georges County leaders urging the residents now to find alternatives. We are asking all the residents with ability to telework or work an alternative work schedule off of the mall peak hour off the normal peak hours to do so if they can. That is the best option. If the individuals have the ability to please do that if they can. The second approach to this is to carpool, to ride share or biking. Brianne safetrack is designed to improve reliability. D ianne gallagher joins us from orlando. What can you tell us about the updated information you know about down there . Dianne [no audible response] i can tell you about the shooter right now they have been investigating. There are multiple investigations going into the situation now. They are looking into how long he was actually planning this. A few moments ago the owner of the gun store where he bought the long gun and the handgun spoke out saying he bought them within a week of each other. But he passed both background checks. He ran background checks on the gunman and he passed them both. It happened in the past couple of days. So both of the guns purchased recently, within a week of each other. He did pass the background checks. This sort of plays into what they are to how long he has actually been planning this attack. They are trying to determine if this is something that has been developing over weeks or months or exactly what the time frame is on this. And also whether or not he worked alone. The u. S. Attorney are investigating other people to see if they were involved. Of course, open investigation very fluid. Its changed by the moment today. The 13car derailment happened 5 45 on mount royal avenue at the Howard Street tunnel. 12 of the 13 cars were empty. The one that wasnt contained acetone, which is flammable. Even though the baltimore c no leak, they are asking everyone to avoid the area as a precaution. No one was injured in the accident. Montgomery county reporter kevin lewis is digging into the case and joins us live. Kevin christopher dunkes is a patrolman assigned to the Second District station in bethesda. Today, however, he is locked up in northern virginia. Being held without bond. That is because last week dunkes allegedly replied to a craigslist ad that undercover detectives in Prince William county posted to the popular website. The 27yearold officer allegedly proceeded to email and text who we believe to be a 15yearold girl. They say dunkes arraigned to meet the fictitious minor at a target store where he planned to receive oral sex in his personal car. Instead the offduty officer was arrested and charged with three counts of using a communication device to facilitate a certain offense with children. Police want parents to notice. If you look at the mugshots of the individuals that we arrested in connection to the case, there is no set like you were saying there is no set mold. There is no set look. It could be anybody. Any occupation. Thats why it is important for us to conduct the operation. And for parents to have the talks with the kids about the dangers of internet. Meanwhile, prosecutors in the freddie gray trial called on a special witness to take the stand against officer caesar goodson. His colleague william porter. Porter testified that he told goodson that gray needed to go to the hospital. Only because gray said the magic words. He wanted a medic. He also said gray did not ask for help until the fourth wagon stop after goodson called for backup. Goodson faces porter is awaiting a new trial after his first trial ended in a hung jury. This is 25yearold Amanda Alvear as gunshots tore out. This appears to show the beginning of the shooting spree. The gunfire ultimately killing alvear. At least 50 people were killed d in the nightclub including the gunman. Among those dead stanley killed while working at the Security Guard at pulse. The victims are 20 to 50 years old and the bodies have been removed from the nightclub. Investigators say they could hear cell phones ringing throughout the room as the families tried to reach slain loved ones. Bless their soul. Its hard. Every gunshot i heard i hoped it wouldnt hit my friends. Stephanie so many trying to find loved ones. Others who were at the club shared their story of survival in moment of frightening terror. Bartender and first thing i do is i see his wound and i take off my shirt and i tie my shirt around his leg to stop the immediating. Stop the bleeding. You know, people that are out also their safety. Greg well, certainly a lot of attention. This is the worst mass shooting in u. S. History. We have been seeing, even volunteers have been here to offer food and water, providing rides to family members and friends who are anxiously awaiting information. Many of the family members are now in the process of still being told the loved ones do not make it. This is a community here locally and from afar that are grappling the arms around one another. To let them know it will be okay. There is support and help here much. We appreciate that. Live in orlando. It is hard to imagine all the hours later people are still waiting just now getting the information they need to know. Scott such a tragedy. This hits close to home for you. Alison absolutely. I grew up right there. That is my backyard, my parents backyard. I went to high school down the street. Pulse used to be lorenzos pizza where we would go when i was a kid. So to say it hits home, absolutely. My parents told me the other day they were awakened by helicopters sunday night. They said everybody in orlando in that neighborhood is just strong, quiet, somber. But i think the most touching thing for me having that be my hometown is watching the people line up to give blood. I know you have seen the video of that. People with what can i do . Is there anything . That outpouring of s that is where i grew up. Michelle its such a tight knit community. This is a time that you need the shoulders to lean on. It is great to see the video. They had to turn people around because the lines were so long for blood donations. Alison unfortunately we are seeing this play out. This is the latest community. We saw things like that in San Bernardino and everywhere else the tragedies take place. Scott inspiring to see people come to see. Tough to see, though. Powerful images have emerged from orlando. People lining up by the hundreds, possibly thousands all trying to donate blood. This is a scene repeated at the blood banks across the country.
