A fired worker returning armed, showing up at the factory, right across the street from a high school. S. W. A. T. Reporter police say today at this texas trucking company, a disgruntled former employee came back for revenge. The shooter drove his white pickup truck to the entrance at 8 43 handgun and shotgun, firing through the front window, then going inside. One individual i spoke with, he did pass him, and continues through the building, as though he was looking particularly for somebody. Reporter the gunman, who investigators say was fired from his job here two weeks ago, shot and killed a supervisor. He was a great father, great son. Reporter officers arrive at 8 47, but by then, the shooter had killed himself. On average, workplace shootings kill about one person every day in the u. S. In five years, more than 1,700 people were shot dead where they worked. A doctor now claiming that people close to the pop star called him in to help prince with a drug addiction, and that it was the doctors own son who arrived at the compound but too late. Abcs eva pilgrim outside minneapolis tonight. Reporter a new bombshell tonight. The very day he died, princes inner circle was trying to get help for his addiction to pain pills. The wednesday night before his death, princes reps contacted dr. Howard kornfeld, an expert in pain medication addiction who runs a california clinic, for what his lawyer refers to as a lifesaving intervention. Did prince know about the intervention . Yes. Reporter dr. Kornfeld immediately rushed his son andrew, who works at the clinic, on a red eye to minneapolis. He got to paisley park at 9 30 thursday morning.
