Abc news has now confirmed details of a q iminary private autopsy ordered by browns family. Revealing that the 18yearold was shot at least 6 times including twice in the head. Two morq autopsies are still being done. We are told this report adds that it appears preliminarily that the shots were not fired at close range. Police have maintained that officer darren wilson, shown in the facebook phoao was in some kind of altercation with unarmed teen before he shot him. As the the investigation continues, protesters say they will be out on these streets every day. I know this is at least going to last until an arrest is made. Thats the primary reason we are out here protesting. Reporter and police here also tell us that several shots were fired at officers although no officers were hurt. There are also reports of looting. We deidnt see any one acting violently toward police. From our perspective it was without warning. We saw armored truck coming our way. Before we could make it to our car, the tear gas and the smoke canisters, started being fired into the crowd. We were able to get out and get here to the police staging area. Without any issue. But, we saw people, running for cover. And we know the situation continued to escalate from there. Marci, we know that police just wrapped up a press conference. What started out as peaceful protests boiled over into a night of molotov cocktails, tear gas, even gunshots. Abcs jim ryan is on the scene in ferguson this morning with dont shoot hands up dont shoot hands up reporter on the eighth day of demonstrations related to the Police Killing of 18yearold Michael Brown and second night of a curfew imposed by the governor, the trouble began before the midnight deadline for clearing the street. Someone reportedly threw a molotov cocktail at police. S. W. A. T. Teams responded, firing tear gas and smoke grenade into protestors who gathered earlier in the day. A volley of tear gas followed as riot police on foot and Armored Vehicles moved down florissant avenue, toward the burned out convenience store, the epicenter of demonstrations for more than a week. Some rioters placed landscaping blocks across florissant to prevent Police Vehicles from getting through. There were reports of gunfire, amid the confusion. And word of at least two injuries. After about an hour police appeared to have regained the upper hand as demonstrators moved out of the area. The scene was similar to the one that unfolded after midnight sunday morning. When Police Used Tear Gas on protestors after one demonstrator had been shot by another. Seven people were arrested on the first night of the curfew. Jim ryan, abc news, suburban st. Louis. A preliminary autopsy released overnight found that Michael Brown was shot at least six times. Abc news has confirmed that the results of the private autopsy conducted for the family, found that the 18yearold was shot four times in the arm and twice in the head. Forensic pathologist flown in from new york says all bullets were fired into browns front. But he stresses his findings neither assign blame nor justify the shooting. Km we are also finding out new details this morning abut the Police Officer who fired the shots. 28yearold officer darren wilson, a sixyear veteran of the police force, was just commended in february for extraordinary effort in the line of duty. He was a gentleman. A quiet officer. And he was, he was, he is, has been an excellent officer for the Police Department. Its devastating. Absolutely devastating. He never intended for any of this to happen. Witnesses however paint a different picture of wilson. Saying he yelled and cursed at brown. And his friend. For walking in the middle of the street.
