you can't blame metro rail passengers for being a little nervous. twice this weekend, the whole system came to a grinding halt because of a computer glitch. >> fix it. twice in a week now. >> first, saturday afternoon central controllers lost the ability to track the train on the moving map until the system rebated. early sunday morning, it happened again, both times causing delays. >> at 2:00 in the morning, it was just terrible. if i told you about it, you would start crying. i did, just waiting to get on the darn train. >> the system that keeps trains from colliding did keep working and train operators were alerted to pull into the nearest station and pull into place with the train doors open. the computer problems on the heels of a bad couple of weeks at metro, including a fare hike and a derailment. >> it's awful. it seems like metro is having a lot of problems recently. >> passengers were another peter clinch could wreak havoc with the morning rush-hour. >> i don't have an option. have to get to work on the hill. >> i hope it works. if it doesn't, i have cab fare. >> the latest from metro's they have not seen another computer clutched cents sunday morning. -- computer glitches since sunday morning. early monday morning, they will have additional supervisors posted at key locations in case the glitch happens all over again. >> thank you for that. now to our exclusive interview with president obama. there is an all-out war of words between the president and mitt romney on the campaign trail. the president is going directly after romney's relationship with bain capital. our senior political reporter joins us now with the interview he scored and you will see only on 7. >> so much has been made about those comments to us by the president regarding mitt romney's time had been capital and if he was still in charge when there was an outsourcing of jobs overseas, bankruptcies and layoffs. for the brief portion of our interview, firing back and forth between the two candidates, but that was just a portion. here are those comments along with more from my exclusive interview with the president. >> mr. president, thank you for your time. let's talk about enthusiasm. the ground today. still see long lines where you go. some polling indicates the fire in the belly is not as intense this time around. are you worried about the novelty wearing out and an enthusiasm drop? >> obviously 2008, your first time around, it is in some ways lightning in a bottle. there were so many young people who automatically got involved. we have gone through three and half tough years. the economy is tough, especially for young people, yet what i have been encouraged by is here in virginia and all across the country, we are still seeing tons of volunteers getting involved. i think the reason is they understand this election is more important than 2008. >> bain capital -- the big issue for the past 24 hours. mitt romney's campaign says he left in 1999 and your campaign says 2001. >> harry truman says the buck stops with you. my understanding is that mr. romney attested to the ftc several times he was the chairman ceo and president of bain capital. ultimately, mr. romney will have to answer those questions because if he aspires to be present, one of the things you learn as you are ultimately responsible for the conduct of your operations. but that's probably a question he is going to have to answer. >> almost instantly, a war of words. >> there's a difference between being a shareholder, an owner if you will, and a person running into the. he is not going to say he is sorry for the attack. >> the new ads from both sides coming at a furious pace. >> what ever happened to hope and change? it seems like he's coming right out of the box with these old fashion negative ads. >> is there any thing you believe you failed at not because congress wouldn't play ball but that rests squarely on your shoulders? >> i have not been able to move the peace process forward in the middle east the way i wanted. that is something we focused on very early, but the truth of the matter is the parties have to want it as well. >> even the possibility is likely out of reach without a second term to be decided by a tiring and increasingly costly campaign. >> what is it you absolutely love about campaigning and what is it you hate but can't say being away from her family?
