would cost for the checks. dna has helped link a rapist to four additional rapes committed several years ago. >> montgomery county police have solved a major cold case that occurred more than 30 years ago with the help of dna. the grand jury returned 10 counts against a 53-year-old. the state attorney believes this man was a serial rapist that terrorized areas of macomb county 30 years ago. originally from rockville, he is already serving sentences for three rapes in that area that occurred between 1981 and 1982, but dna link him to four other rapes that occur from 1977 to 1980. when the separate rapes were reported, they were very similar in nature, and the victim's gave similar descriptions. 30 years later, detectives believe they have closed these cases. >> those types of cases, we number of winter weather advisories. for us, we will be just dealing with this area of rain. there will be a chance that enough cold air will come south that west of hagerstown, the wincster line, maybe some snow mixed in there. look at these temperatures. 44 degrees in bowie. about a third of an inch in most of the metro area. we can show you the rain totals officially at reagan national. 50 degrees and 46 degrees the high and the low. colder to the north, slightly louder to the south. this has to do more with the temperatures of the chesapeake bay. you have to go far south to find the hot stuff. 91 degrees in houston. plenty of cold stuff to the north. as we go through the next several months, colder weather will become much more commonplace. this system does not show any signs of
