The Day Care Center in arlington is under suspicion of abuse for the second time in under two months. Natasha barrett is live with what allegedly happened. Parents are very upset about this one because as you mentioned, this isnt the first time they had to deal with some sort of negative incident at the day care. This incident happened some time yesterday and it was caught on video. The alleged abuse happened at joint base Myer Henderson hall. It is where parents drop off their children each day. A source close to the investigation described what happened. Surveillance video shows a 3yearold who hits two other kids with a seat cushion then the source says, a daycare worker is seen as she snashes the cushion and hits the kid with it. The kid starts crying. The worker comforts the kid and tries to read the kid a story. It is despicable. Yesterdays incident comes after allegations of inappropriate action by caregivers. The militarys largest Day Care Center, last month the caregivers and their personal background check led to the suspicion of 38 staffers. The issues range from previous assault to drug use. Three women face federal charges. Back when i was young i never heard stuff like this. Nowadays it is you hear it every day. Some say a coworker saw the worker hit the 3yearold. I think individuals who have those types of jobs, think the employ pleas should have a background check on all of them. At this point the worker is suspended. No word of an arrest. He is charged with sexually abusing an 11yearold girl. He led a youth choir group 10 years ago in a southeast Washington Church and that is how he allegedly found his victim. Stephen tschida is at the courthouse. The Police Officer appeared in court to face graphic and disturbing charges of child sex abuse. The victimization began back in 2004 when the victim was 11 and continued until she was 13. Inside the church, palmer allegedly lured an 11yearold girl into the pastors office. The assaults continued for two years. You know where hes at . Palmers family runs the Temple Church of christ. He would not say much. Why are you putting names on our church . The alleged abuse began in 2004 and ended august 31, 2006. The victim was allegedly 11 when it started 13 when it stopped. This church right here dub if he did that that is real sad. The alleged victim said he would take a break and stepped other children away and tell her to stay behind. He would take her into the office where he would engage in sex. That is terrible. The victim revealed the say wault to her mother in march and that led to the charging by of the Police Officer. No one would address the charges but some familiar with the church expressed disgust at what allegedlied to have taken place. Those are kids in there. The defense attorney raised questions about the alleged victim. Asking the judge why is the victimization if these assaults took place almost 10 years ago did the alleged victim wait until the age of 19 tell anyone . Still the judge ordered palmer held next his Court Appearance next week. Kenneth furr has been sentenced to 14 months in prison for assault with a dangerous weapon and solicitation of prostitution.
