Hes been called the next dr. Kevorkian. We broke the story and we now have new information on the allegations being made against dr. Egbert. The board says it is undisputed that dr. Egbert participated in six assisted suicides here in maryland. We talked to him here in baltimore where he lives and works. He tells me he participated and was present in as many as 100 deaths in the last eight years and he does not regret a single one. But maryland board of physicians does have some Serious Problems with that. They think what he did was unprofessional conduct. Earlier this month it revoked the medical license egbert has held since 1952. Its he has been the medical director of a group known as final exit network which provides guides that aidn the death of someone with a terminal illness. Most choose to die with a good filled with helium. Dr. Egbert is clear he has never assisted in those deaths. He said each one he was present at was a personal choice. Egbert has been indicted and acquitted in other states tom including arizona.
