Detectives arrested Kawain Smalls at his home in woodbridge, charged with murder in the death of brenden wilson. The Woodbridge High School junior was shot yesterday on a path between his home and the school. His mother knew something was wrong when she received a frantic call from a friend. He was a good kid. He had issues and was struggling with things, but he did not need to die. It is so sad. Police say it appears the shooting was drugrelated. Smalls is a convicted felon, and police said the two knew each other. The family says they are glad the process started, but will not be satisfied until everyone involved is behind bars for life. The state fire marshal confirms one person died following a shed explosion last weekend. The victim was identified, and he has been at Johns HopkinsMedical Center since 8. Police believe because of the explosion was accidental, but it is still the center of an active investigation. His cause of death has not been released. Hundreds of parents are outraged. A Montgomery County school answering to accusations it covered up an incident involving a contract worker and a student. One of two arrests in a matter of weeks, and parents want answers. School officials said they did not send out a letter to parents to prevent further embarrassment to the victim. They do not by that logic. This should not have been covered up.
