mysterious death of a well-known d.c. journalist and social life. detectives returned to the home of viola drath after they called her death a homicide. kris van cleve is the liver with why her husband may be a suspect. >> we have more information and are left with a lot of questions tonight. a spokeswoman for the family declined to comment other than to say the family is in shock and that they have no idea how close police are to making an arrest. d.c. homicide detectives returned to the time of 91-year- old viola drath. the next day her death was ruled a homicide. >> it is frightening. somebody was murdered in the home. >> it appears her husband is 44 years younger than his wife. according to this e-mail sent from an address associated with him, he writes he wants to convince mpd of my innocence -- >> and neighbors say this was not the first time they were at the house. >> i have seen police out here. there have been problems. >> a police report says she pounded her head in the floor and sat on her while yelling at her. the case never went to trial. court records show he was arrested but not prosecuted for domestic violence. >> i heard him one time in the back yelling at her. i went inside because i did not want him to see me. >> several residents told us that muth would address in military uniform and told people he was an iraqi general. he was born in germany. he was seen walking around in uniform with a whip or even a sword. police have not identified any suspects and have made no arrests. investigation continues. new at 11:00 a man was arrested after investigators say he is responsible for an explosion plot tied to a fake bomb. the fbi arrested paul peters about 30 miles southeast of louisville. he broke into a home in sydney, australia, and changed a fake bomb onto a teenage girl's neck. he is an australian citizen but his lived in the u.s. for several years. investigators are searching for the source of a fuel spill along the anacostia river. they have been cannon -- canvassing the water. they're trying to keep the spill from spreading. no one has been hurt. there has not been any significant environmental impacts. we
