Kim is in the newsroom with details. The streets of charlotte North Carolinaare now quiet littered with broken glass and rocks this morning after a night full of unrest. Protesters lined along the streets shutting down the highway, and throwing Water Bottles and rocks at Police Officers. At least a dozen officers were hurt and some squad cars were destroyed. This all comes after police shot and killed 43yearold Keith Lamont Scott yesterday police say they were warrant when they saw scott inside a car. Officers say he got out of the car holding a gun, then went back inside the vehicle. Thats when police opened fire. In the apartment complex parking lot, this subject was out with a weapon. They engaged him and one of the officers felt a lethal threat and fired his weapon because of that. Scott was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died. Continues. Milwaukee police are investigation an overnight shooting this morning. Police say a man was walking in the area near 23rd and clark around two am when someone fired shots at him possibly from a passing car. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive. So far no suspects are in custody. And Police Continue to investigate. Three people are taken into custody after a crash in milwaukees riverwest neighborhood. Police say they received a complaint of people with guns north just after ten. When squads arrived. The suspects took off in a jeep. The car ended up rolling over near richards and meinecke. Two people ran away but were eventually caught. And taken to the hospital as a precaution. The driver suffered more serious injuries and also taken to the hospital. All three had guns on them. And Police Continue to investigate. Two women are in the hospital this morning after getting hit by cars in two separate incidents. One was hit near 60th and holt while walking in the intersection. The woman suffered serious injuries. The driver did remain on scene after the crash. And then on the citys north side a woman was hit by a van near 58th and villard. Were told she ended up getting hit again after falling in the opposite lane of traffic. It happened just after six thirty last night. Both drivers remained at the scene. The woman is in critical condition. This morning concerns over whats happening at a wisconsin Veterans Home. Federal regulators cited the Veterans Home at king after staff decided no elderly resident. But other allegations are surfacing. Lets go to our own Julie Collins, live for more. Some democrats want to increase funding for king immediately. Police were called to the home to check on an 85yearold woman. Thats when they say they discovered the animals. They say the home was covered in mold, urine and feces.
