Apartment which now is boarded up and Police Arrested a 44 year old woman and a 47 year old woman in connection with the death. It is being investigated as a homicide. And Milwaukee Police also arrested two men for failing to act to prevent bodily harm. Police say the boy was brought to Childrens Hospital yesterday with numerous injuries. The boy died as a result. A source tells us the child was also malnourished and a woman caring for him has drug issues. Neighbors say they never heard or saw anything unusual. Its terrible. I mean come on. This is all going on under our noses. And we dont even know it. An autopsy was performed on the boy today. But the results arent being released while this investigation continues. Live in milwaukee Myra Sanchick fox6 news the wheels are moving to make a recount happen here in wisconsin. Today, green Party President ial candidate jill stein has requested a full hand recount in michigan. Shes also requested a recount in pennsylvania. We have Team Coverage of the recount. Fox 6s ted perry is in the newsroom with how Election Officials are preparing for the undertaking here in milwaukee. But we start with political reporter theo keith. He joins us in the studio with the Stein Campaign has decided not to appeal a dane county judges ruling Voting Machines to recount ballots. Stein is urging clerks to do a handcount. But the Wisconsin Elections Commission Says clerks should feel no pressure to do so. The Commission Held its final meeting with clerks before the recount starts tomorrow at 9 am. The lead elections administrator called it good news that stein had dropped her legal challenge because it will give clerks certainty. He says the biggest challenge for clerks will be tabulators for the near roundtheclock recount process. We already had some calls from counties this week that they are having a little bit of a challenge finding enough people 00 and thats why we asked them to keep track of their pace, Pay Attention to it, and hopefully not get too far behind the clerks will have until december 12th. The state faces a december 13th results or its not guaranteed that congress would recognize wisconsins 10 Electoral College members. The Elections Commission told the clerks to send daily reports of vote totals. Those will be posted publicly. Clerks are also being told to keep track of their costs for the temporary workers they hire to count votes, overtime, miles driven. Stein must pay the cost of the recount, currently estimated at 3 point 9 million in Milwaukee County, the location is set for where that recount will start tomorrow morning. Fox 6s ted perry joins us from the newsroom with the efforts here in southeastern wisconsin. The ballots were tucked away this morning on the ground floor at the Milwaukee County courthouse. Then, large box after large box moved those ballots to a loading dock. Eventually, a moving truck carring the suburban ballots to a city of milwaukee they were united with the city ballots. Tomorrow, the process of counting the more than 440thousand ballots will begin at 9 am. Until then, they will be under constant supervision. They will be under lock and key tonight and once the ballot bags have been opened, there will be 24 hour security provided by the each day, county officials expect about 130 or so workers to go through the ballots. Different municipalities will have their own day while the city of milwaukee will be a multiday process. All of the workers will make 15 dollars an hour with the state, through the Stein Campaign, eventually reimbursing the county. Reporting from the newsroom, Ted Perry Fox 6 news. Brad thanks ted. The person arrested opened fire at two people. No one was shot, but an unoccupied car was hit. Police say the suspect and the two people he shot at know each other. And their argument was tied to an police in germantown respond to a report of a bomb at a local business. Officers responded to the gehl gail foods warehouse after an employee said someone may have entered the building with an explosive. The 60 employees evacuated while First Responders investigated the call. The Milwaukee County Sheriffs Office explosive Ordinance Disposal unit assisted germantown pd. In the end, a bomb was not found at the warehouse, and employees were back in the building just after noon. I think, in america, people need to, yes, keep an eye open, but, at the same time, just look out for each go overboard. A gehl foods chief Financial Officer says the facility has a keycard entry system, and only employees are issued keycards. Speaking out claiming the president ial vote recount petition fails to meet legal standards. Our fox6s Angelica Sanchez spoke with the groups president she joins us in the studio with more Angelica Stephanie and brad now we are still awaiting a response from the Stein Campaign on this but the Wisconsin Institute for law and liberty says this recount is legally questionable. The groups president fears it will interfere with wisconsins electoral votes. The clock is ticking the state of wisconsin is now on a deadline to recount all votes in the president ial election. Officials will have until monday december 12 to complete the task. In a phone interview, the president of the conservative group Wisconsin Institute for law and liberty claims this recount is not legal. this recount is an abuse of the recount statute its legality is questionable. There is no election. fox6 is awaiting a response from the Stein Campaign on the claims. However the Green Party Nominee went on abcs the view wednesday morning and explained the recount is to assure voters the system is working. Esenberg alleges in order for a candidate to call for a recount there must be reason to believe a mistake occurred not that a mistake could have occurred. Normally we have recounts because theres some uncertainty about who won. If you look at the documents the jill stein campan believe there has been a problem they just believe there could be a problem. regardless of this. Plans for a recount are now in motion. Esenberg says his biggest concern is it will interfere with the casting of wisconsins electoral votes. if there is any real world consequence of it is it might put at risk our ability to have our votes counted in the Electoral College because the recount wont get done on now esenberg says if this recount does interfere with the casting of wisconsins electoral votes it does plan to get involved. After a car on the fourohfive freeway leaves the road and crashes into a homeless camp. It happened late last night. At least two of the three injured are in critical caused the crash. It was determined by the City Attorney that we were looking at a violation of our own policy and so the decision was made to remove it. Graff says the madisonbased group, the freedom from Religion Foundation, sent numerous complaints to the city. They have sent letters to the city for many years in a row questioning the policy. This year we decided to enforce the freedom from Religion Foundation in madison says the group first reached out to the city in 2007. Thats when a menominee resident came to the foundation with a complaint. Even if you have a city with 99 of the populous being christian and supporting a christian nativity, that 1 is relying on constitutional protection to say that the government must remain neutral on this question and thats exactly what the establishment clause of the First Amendment is. County clerks had dozens of questions today about how the recount would play out. The top elections administrator in the state called clerks heroes in a race against the clock. Their final instructions before something theyve never done a recount of the president ial race in wisconsin. As in any recount, you are going to be the real heroes in trying to get this done by december 12th elections administrators tell fox6 that some clerks are frustrated by the recount because it comes at the request of Green Party Candidate jill stein, who got just one percent of the people in all 72 counties to be paid vote counters. We will hear, im sure as we go along, which counties are having a challenge stein is footing the entire bill now estimated at 3 point 9 Million Dollars. Wednesday, she announced she would not appeal a judges ruling that allows clerks to count ballots by hand or use Voting Machines. Her campaign said, given the time constraints, we want to focus on the recount which begins thursday. Our focus will be on verifying the vote on the ground.
