Attorney zellner is expected to file a motion to retest dna evidence in the avery case and possibly present an alternate theory on who killed theresa halback, a photographer killed in 2005. Earlier this month averys nephew Brendan Dasseys case was overturned after a judge determined the then 16 year olds confession should audiences that span the globe actually. Police say it all started with 3 Milwaukee Police say the suspect stole the 23 year olds purses before running off. About an hour later another Armed Robbery is reported. This time the victims a man and woman in their 20s where threatened with a knife. Near humboldt and pleasant. 10 minutes later near water and brady. Police say a man and woman in their early 20s are robbed. And then around 4 am a 23 year man is robbed at gunpoint on cass street near lyon. 3 out of the four areas are neighborhoods. On this block because the people here are so close. Theres some people here ive known for maybe 30 40 years police say they believe due to the proximity and witness descriptions, the robberies are related. They continue to search for a suspect. Milwaukee police are investigating a bank robbery from around noon today. It happened at the prime Financial Credit Union near 20th and oklahoma. Kokomo, indiana mayor Greg Goodnight confirming that there were touchdowns, and plenty of damage, but no reports indiana town is still not out of hot water yet, conditions are still ripe for tornadoes to form. The entire county is in a state of emergency, in fact. All roads were closed with the exception of emergency vehicles. Indiana governor mike pence toured the damage in kokomo this morning. Matthew thompson was killed in action on tuesday. Fox6s Rachelle Baillon joins us live from Brookfield Central where thompson attended high school. Good afternoon. Us army staff sgt. Matthew thompson graduated from Brookfield Central in 2006, where he was the captain of the ensembles. Theyll be having a moment of silence at tonights Football Game to honor his sacrifice. Before Us Army Staff sgt. Matthew thompson was a bronze star medal winner, before he was a special forces medical sergeant, and before he even enlisted in the us army, he was a muchloved ra and student at Marquette University. there was something very pure and authentic about him that people just wanted to be around him and they wanted that sort of radiated from inside out. Matthew Manning became friends with thompson while both were working in Odonnell Hall on campus. The university tells us thompson attended the school from the fall of 2006 until the spring of 2008. Manning says thompson then transferred to Concordia University in california. He graduated in 2010 and joined the army in march 2011. he wanted to push himself as much as he could and in order to live according to the values that he had and his vision for the wounds he suffered from an improvised explosive device while on patrol in afghanistan. Police say a 23 year old man was approached at gun point. By a man getting out of a vehicle. The suspect took the victims belongs before taking off in the vehicle.
