Its a different old when he confessed to sexually assaulting and murdering Teresa Halbach in 2005. Dassey said his uncle steven avery was in on it. But was that confession coerced by investigators who fed statements to the mentally challenged teen. August 12th a motion filed on behalf of dassey ruled to overturn the general brad schimel is filing to appeal that decision in the seventh circuit. Schimel says two state courts carefully examined the evidence and properly concluded that brendan dassys confession. Was voluntary and the investigators did not use constitutionally impermissable tactics the case of dassey and his uncle steven avery was profiled in the Netflix Documentary making a whether the convictions will stand. The center of wrongful convictions of youth wrote a response on behalf of brendan dassey. It says we are disappointed in the states decision to prolong brendans case by seeing and appeal. Last month Steven Averys attorney filed a motion in averys case asking to retest the evidence in his case. Barely 24 hours earlier, Authorities Say the driver of a white pickup truck was headed west on state highway 59 near road x, when the car drifted over onto shoulder side gravel before swerving into the east bound lane and colliding with an oncoming motorcycle. The crash killed the student named spencer twining. The woman charged in his death is 28 yearold Rebecca Wankowski and Authorities Say this is her third owi offense. According to a criminal complaint, after the crash, wankowski was visibly upset and hysterical and a sheriffs deputy was unable to continue speaking with her on site. She was taken to a hospital for assessment and on the ride over, a criminal complaint says she was heard talking on the phone, saying theyre going to lock me up and i killed him. She al track and i never should have left. A preliminary breath test showed wankowskis alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit. She now faces charges of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle, 3rd offense owi and misdemeanor bail jumping. Shes due in court on september 19th. The Outagamie County District Attorney says the officers feared for their lives when 31yearold kole knight pulled a toy gun out from his waistband. Christa rumbaugh says, sunday night, her 55pound golden doodle, josie, confronts two leaves her dog shaken, and skittish, adding that josie requires veterinary care. Police pulled over a man and woman who were overdosing with a child in the East Liverpool officer just moments after the officer pulled over the driver. This was the guy marshals were after first. 29yearold willie jordan. Willie believed he had been holding a firearm for him it. According to a criminal complaint, last December Willie jordan broke into his girlfriends home near 19th and congress. Miss webb really has no criminal history to speak of. But willie brought company she really hasnt been involved in much. There were two other accomplices including 18yearold ariella webb. Agents say the suspects tied the victim up. Bound the victim by her hands and feet put her in a bathtub and continued to until eventually injected her with a lethal dose of heroin before leaving. The victim was later found by a roommate. Called emergency medical personnel and they were able to revive her. The victim would later identify willie jordan and ariella webb. Each are charged with armed robbery, false imprisonment and attempted homicide. Mr. Jordan was arrested by the us in louisiana in august of this year. Jordan was caught first. And she was initially questioned i believe in february but subsequently released and now another warrant has been issued for her arrest in this case. Agents say before this, webb didnt have a record she clearly stepped right up to the highest level criminal activity with this case. But now the young lady is up for a long stay in prison. A 28yearold woman is accused of her third owi. Killed a Uw Whitewater student. Fox6s Rachelle Baillon has the story. Shortly before 5 pm on thursday, Authorities Say the driver of a white pickup truck was headed west on state highway 59 near road x in the town of eagle, when the car drifted over onto the shoulder side gravel before swerving into the east bound lane and colliding with an oncoming motorcycle. The crash killed the motorcyclist, a uw twining. The woman charged in his death is 28 yearold Rebecca Wankowski and Authorities Say this is her third owi offense. According to a criminal complaint, after the crash, wankowski was visibly upset and hysterical and a sheriffs deputy was unable to continue speaking with her on site. She was taken to a hospital for assessment and on the ride over, a criminal complaint says she was heard talking on the phone, saying theyre going to lock me up and i life was finally getting back on track and i never should have left. A preliminary breath test showed wankowskis alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit. She now faces charges of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle, 3rd offense owi and misdemeanor bail jumping. She faces a separate charge of defrauding an innkeeper from a previous incident and a condition of her bond in that case stipulated that she maintain absolute sobriety. Shes due back in court on
