Ash whitaker can use the boys rooms at tremper high school. A rainy day outside tremper high school. Inside a change is happening. Whitaker last year when ash was on prom court, wanting to get elected prom king. Because ash is transgender the school objected. While the school eventually allowed ash to run for king, it did not want him to use the boys restrooms and provided a private bathroom. Ash objected , in court. And now has won an injunction allowing him to choose. Everybody on the legal team and ash and his family are just so pleased about this. Judge peppers decision is just to the lawsuit whitaker filed to be allowed to use the restroom of the gender he identifies with, is one of numerous cases across the country. Whitakers lawyer expects one of the cases may make it to the Supreme Court and decide the issue nationwide. The Kenosha Unified School district says it is disappointed with the courts decision to grant an injunction. Nevertheless, the district is bound by is reviewing all of its options. The district says it may file an immediate appeal and ask to have the injunction stopped. For now ash whitaker is making local history. The fight for wisconsin voters is neck and neck for Hillary Clinton and donald trump. Marquette law schools latest poll shows Hillary Clinton dropping one point among likely voters from the previous poll in august. While donald trump stayed the same in a head tohead matchup between the two. That put clinton at 44 percent and trump at 42 percent. Officials say a man was walking near 20th and clarke shortly after two am when someone fired from a passing car. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
