Thats when the state says it is filing an emergency motion in the 7th Circuit Court seeking a stay in Wisconsin Attorney general brad schimel outlines his argument for requesting the District Court stay its decision to release brendan dassey. The state says the District Court did not have the authority to release dassey pending the states september appeal of judge willian duffins ruling overturning dasseys murder conviction. Ordering a retrial in the case. A serial carjacker is sentenced to 41 years in prison. He was known to threaten his victims with a firearm before stealing their cars.
