Ben breaking news now from overnight in milwaukee. A shooting downtown near old world third street. Man was shot on the street after an argument around 3 00 this morning. The victim is only identified as a 34yearold man. He flagged down an officer for help. He is now recovering in the hospital and is expected to survive. This all happened near old world third street and wells. That is near the Hyatt Regency hotel and other restaurants and businesses. The hotel tells wisn 12 news that the doors were locked as a precaution to make sure guests Milwaukee Police are still on scene investigating and havent made any arrests. Now to the aftermath of the unrest in milwaukee. Police are reporting no major incidents from the citys sherman park neighborhood. For the fourth night since an officerinvolved shooting sparked the unrest. Now calls are growing this morning to release the officers body camera video. Police say the video will be released in a timely manner. But Community Leaders say it cannot come soon enough. According to police, the video shows 23yearold Sylville Smith with a gun in his hand when he was shot in the chest and arm saturday near 44th and auer. The officer was wearing one of the departments new body cameras, which the police chief says recorded the shooting but not the audio. Agency must investigate in this case the state department of justice. The Department Tells wisn 12 news the video definitely wont likely be released this week. The agency has set up a tip line. They want any eyewitness accounts of what happened before, during, or after the shooting. While tips can be anonymous, you must fill out an online form. We have a link on wisn. Com and on our 12 news app. Tearing down buildings st on buildings that were set on fire during the unrest that erupted after the shooting. The bp gas station and Oreilly Auto Parts store were two of the eight businesses set on fire. Federal Officials Say the cost could exceed several million dollars. They are offering a 10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. Ben police and they bureau of alcohol, tobacco, and firearms are investigating to see whether this fire at a vacant home yesterday morning might be related to other fires near sherman park ongoing problem, so the city is working to reduce the number of empty properties. The sherman park neighborhood is home to 535 of those vacant properties, like the home that burned yesterday morning at 33rd and hadley. Police tell wisn 12 news a 42yearold milwaukee man was shot after getting into an argument near 27th and oklahoma. That is right outside Police District 6 headquarters. Police say a 65yearold man took out his gun and shot the victim. That person died at the hospital. The gunman then turned himself in to police. Ben this morning, police in Fond Du Lac County are investigating new clues in the case of a missing college student. Amber wilde of Fond Du Lac County vanished in 1998. The uw green bay student was pregnant when she went missing. Investigators have labeled the case as a homicide. Three months ago, they named their main person of interest as the father of wildes unborn child. Now, newlyunsealed Court Documents have identified his friend as a person of interest as well. Police hope this information will generate new tips in the case. 05. The green and gold have done it again. The packers grabbed another victory in game two of the preseason. We have some new info this morning, the lawyer for swimmer jimmy feigen says he will donate more than 10,000 today and then leave brazil. According to feigens lawyer, under brazilian law, a donation can be made to avoid criminal prosecution for minor offenses. Brazilian police say four American Olympic swimmers lied when they said they were robbed at gunpoint on sunday. Surveillance video shows them at this gas station. Rio Officials Say the olympians were drunk and vandalized the business. They story as a coverup story. Police say lochte got into an angry confrontation with security guards. One guard pulled a gun, forcing the athletes out of the cab and on the ground. Eventually, police say the athletes paid for the damage and left. Sources close to the swimmers say they do not believe what the brazilian government is saying. Meanwhile, overnight the u. S. Olympic committee issued this statement to Brazilian Police. It reads the behavior of these athletes is not acceptable, nor vast majority of its members. Police are investigating after a shooting in downtown milwaukee. There was a shooting at old third world and wells, the shooter than flagged down a police officer. He is expected to survive his the suspect ran from the scene. This is near the Hyatt Regency hotel, and they have locked their doors to make sure guests stay safe. Right now, searching for information on what led up to a Fatal Shooting right outside the doors of a police station. Police say two men got into an argument outside of district six headquarters that is near 27th and oklahoma. One man reportedly shot and killed the other. It is not clear if they knew each other. Police say the suspect then walked into district six, told officers about the shooting, and melinda now, continued coverage of the unrest in milwaukee. People in sherman park are working to pick up the pieces. Tim, what is next . Tim right now, crews are working to demolish the business is. Eight of them caught fire and burned during the unrest. Heres the scene on saturday, when fires broke out at eight businesses near sherman and burleigh. This bp gas station had the most damage it burned to the ground. Atf agents began demolition yesterday. Damage from the gas station lot as well as an Oreilly Auto Parts that was badly damaged. And a group of chaplains, trained for crisis situations, are Offering Counseling to the family of Sylville Smith, killed in a police shooting, and to hundreds of other people in milwaukee. Lets check in with wisn 12 news tim elliott with details on one of the biggest fires. Tim . Tim it is called the blue cut fire, and since tuesday, it has burned more than 35,000 acres. It is burning near san bernardino. Some mandatory evacuations are still in place others have been lifted. Officials estimate that nearly 83,000 people were ordered to evacuate. More than 1500 firefighters have been working to contain the fire. As of last night, the blue cut fire is about 22 contained. Californias governor has issued a state of emergency for the county. It is still not clear what ben, over to you. Ben an update on the orlando nightclub shooting doctors say the last victim who remains in the hospital has improved slightly. The patient had been in Critical Condition since the shooting on june 12. Now, that persons condition is one step up at guarded. The name of the patient has not been released. 49 people were killed in the shooting. 50 more were hurt. Melinda right now, people in louisiana are struggling to clean up after devastating floods. The water is still high in some areas. Around 40,000 homes have been but as neighborhoods start to dry out, the water is entering lakes, which are rising. Near baton rouge, one lake is in danger of rising so much that it could flood homes again. Also know this morning, dozens of red cross workers from here in wisconsin our in louisiana helping flood victims. Red cross equipment like Disaster Relief vans are making their job easier. Local people have donated shampoo, soap, toothbrushes, and more necessities, along with giving their time. Wisconsin is very good about right now, we have almost 40 volunteers in louisiana. We are just starting to mobilize for california. Melinda workers in california will help people affected by wildfires there. A town in illinois getting creative with their laar their lawns, they let these sheep roam around. They eat grass and weeds in the town of waterloo. It is better for the budget and they are my arm it and the environment, they say. The mayor says they have been using the sheep for about 20 years.
