Heagganbrown is the officer who shot Sylville Smith in august sparking days of unrest. However, he wasnt fired for the shooting, but something he is accused of doing afterwards. Prosecutors charged heagganbrown with sexually assaulting a man, and investigators say he may have had as many as four victims since 2015. It happened this morning in downtown manitowoc. Crews were called to an area that includes the Manitowoc CountyRepublican Party headquarters a cafe two stores and an apartment complex. No one died but officers on the scene classified the situation as a mass casualty incident, heres why. This was a mass casualty incident for the city of manitowoc. Meaning that our local resources were tasked and we had additional agencies from two rivers and mischicot ems that came to assist with this incident. Officers were called to investigate a report of a suspicious vehicle saturday night in ladysmith thats just north of eau claire. Officials say the deputy radioed that he found the vehicle but lost contact shortly afterward. When back up arrived, they found the deputy shot to death. Court records show nitek has an extensive criminal record. Deputy glaze was a sevenyear veteran in law enforcement. Anchor local authorities rounded up more than halfadozen registered sex offenders in a halloween sweep in milwaukee county. Department of corrections, conducted operation trick or treat on sunday during trick or treat hours. Deputies went door to door to make sure sex offenders were not interacting with kids.
