A half here in rusk county. Adrienne deputy glaze was responding to a call about a suspicious vehicle just north of eau claire saturday night. The deputy radioed he found the vehicle and thats the last the Sheriffs Office heard from the 33yearold. When back up arrived, they found the deputy dead. Investigators with several agencies spent the night trying to track down the shooter, 43yearold doug nitek. They caught up to him at his home. He eventually surrendered but not before shooting once at Law Enforcement. No one was hurt. According to Court Documents niteks been in jail several times for a range of crimes. He was even under whats called active Community Supervision when he killed the deputy. Governor scott walker released a statement on twitter saying he plans to work with Law Enforcement across the state to ensure the deputys killer is brought to justice.
