Last week, a letter arrived from Mount Pleasant police. Yeah, it is my car. She doesnt want to be identified because after it disappeared, the van was used in various crimes. Shoplifting at walmart in various jurisdictions. It was impounded on june 6, 2012. The suspects said it was their van. She says even though she told that would be why when we ran the license plate that it did not come back stolen. Captain tom petersen says the criminal case was completed in 2013. The vehicle was placed in evidence and has been there since. It wasnt noticed at the impound lot until the Police Department was clearing space over the last year. Four years you could have , contacted me within that time and le k involved in a theft or crime investigation. It probably should have gone through that and made notification to the owner. Today, a student found a note inside a bathroom stall threatening a bomb. Police did a sweep of the campus, but did not find anything.
