The senior has been engaged in a legal fight with the district for several months now on changing the bathroom policy for transgender students. Ive never pushed him into i could see he was a happier person that way, and i said ok what can i do to help. , according to the district the change in bathroom policy , would only apply for now to ash whitaker. In a statement sent to 12 news from the districts attorney, it says in part the district is disappointed with the courts decision to grant an injunction. Nevertheless, the district is bound by the courts order. The district is reviewing all of its options, including whether to file an immediate interlocutory appeal. Melissa says theyre ready for a fight but for now want to focus , on ash and other equality issues for transgender students. He is being brave. He is being a voice. Police say the animals were in the care of heather jensen, who was president of an Animal RescueOrganization Called lucky mutts. Shes since been removed after jensen and her boyfriend, terry bogard, were charged with mistreating animals. Now 22 of those dogs will soon be returned to lucky mutts after being cared for by the Humane Society. The Racine District Attorneys Office as well as a representative from lucky mutts. They have provided ownership documentation for 22 of the 24 dogs. Lucky mutts wants 22 of the dogs returned and posted a message on facebook saying they will be picking up their dogs this week. The group has this adoption storefront on beloit road on milwaukees south side. No one answered the door or attempts by 12 news to reach those in charge. Came from a really difficult situation. An elderly man recently contacted the saving paws Animal Rescue, saying he was no longer able to take care of some 50 dogs that lived at his house. A majority of the dogs are in good health and some have , already been adopted. Saving paws says the man did the right thing by admitting he needed help.
