Patrick the student is being treated at a hospital while the school works with Health Officials to notify anyone who may have come into contact with that student. Two other students were treated for the rare b strain earlier different strain of meningitis. A vaccine for the rare b strain is not usually recommended and only recently became available. The vaccine is being offered for free at uw madison this coming monday and wednesday. Students are also being told to not share drinking glasses, eating utensils, lip balm or cosmetics. Investigators say a milwaukee couple was in the car driving south on i94 near highway 158 when they hit a man at around 3 00 this morning. No word on why the man was on the freeway and not in his car. Investigators say right now, appear to be factors. Milwaukee police are also investigating the death of a 21yearold man. He was found inside a vehicle near 26th and clybourn around 8 30 this morning. Right now, police are calling it a sudden death. An autopsy will be performed to determine exactly how the man died. What it is, is im exploring all possibilities. Democratic congressional candidate ryan solen wants voters to consider this that his , opponent, republican House Speaker, paul ryan might suddenly step down after the election. On his website, solen claims,\ if paul wins reelection he will lose as speaker, resign election in wisconsin. He cites a forbes article about a possible move by some House Republicans to oust ryan as speaker. Solens claim goes one step further, that no only would ryan lose his position as speaker, but that he would immediately resign from congress entirely. If thats the case, and hes looking at his political future, theres that possibility that he may resign altogether. Well, i dont think its a very realistic political attack. We asked marquette Political Science professor paul nolette, who says even if ryan were replaced as speaker, nothing is likely to happen until at least january.
