Myers oh man followed by youre kidding me at a vigil today held on the steps of the lexington county courthouse David Longstreet who pushed through state dui rules after the death of his six year old daughter emma , at the driver. Longstreet is asking for myers resignation saying that ater myers third arrest for an alcohol related driving offesnse he can no longer be effective in the courtroom. This is the 2nd time myers has been charged with dui. Wis has reached out to myers seeking comment and so far, has not heard back. On valentines day, he was found dead outside a vehicle at a park and ride on corley mill road last week. Investigators say he had been shot multiple times. The coroner says the Mexican Consulate and a relative living in the area helped identify him. Leon is charged with murder for santos death. According to warrants, he called 911 and told dispatchers he had shot his wifes lover. We are going to appreciate, we do appreciate the enormously important work, the historical black colleges and universities are doing and many of them are struggling financially. And we are going to do everything to financially support those very important institutions who play an enormously important role. I have a 25 billion dollar fund for helping you improve and modernize facilities and provide up to date equipment, and give you more support so that you can continue to do the mission that hbcus have been and while each candidate echoes the same sentiments about helpipi hbcus thrive. I thought it would be important to talk to students about their take. We really do need the help, especially at hbcus because of couple of months ago state was in danger of being shut down and it was negatively in put on the news and to be in the light and to be at this university is a privilege. I dont believe its really sincere, i think that everybodys kinda jumping on the hbcu bandwagon because they know we, we struggle as hbcs as far as when it comes to funds. So they want to make it seem like they care but i dont think they really care. Weve been struggling to be like equal to pwis out there and now that the vote, we have the power to vote and now that theyre targeting us i feel like sometimes were just being used for votes, on both sides.
