Investors are selling shares and exporters are leading the declines and the selloff has spread to other markets in asia. Hong kong opened lower 1 . Investors in singapore are also selling stocks. But after you look at the satellite imagery, this is typhoon vongfong. It intensified over the overnight hours and now up to a violent typhoon status. And the visible satellite you can see that circular motion around the eye. Really just clean edges indicating how strong the system is. And also if you pull back look at the buzz saw type shape on this. And that is just showing you how strong this storm has intensified. Now down to a pressure of 900 hpa. This is the strongest typhoon since last november and the strongest by far of any in the world in 2014. The good news, we are right now at the peak intensity of this storm. Winds 306 Kilometers Per Hour. To put this in perspective this is at the spade of the shinkansen, the bullet trains in japan run at. So just absolutely blowing winds here. But it is expected to decrease in intensity once it moves north away from the environment that is favorable for intensification. And after it approaches the Southern Islands of japan, over portions of kyushu and shikoku it should be a strong typhoon but that could still produce some damage. So a lot of time to watch this. There are a lot of variables in place. Exactly where this is going to be going. This is a very slow moving storm. This is continues to kick up the waves out here. Despite the fact it is not impacting land areas directly it is producing 10meter high waves in the center of circulation. But the waves are cascading out. 3 to 4 meters in taiwan. Now over the islands and port blair. You saw a report of 123 millimeters of rainfall in the past 24 hours. Its expected to intensify with so a severe sclonic storm with winds gusting of 150 Kilometers Per Hour on sunday. When it makes landfall here in eastern india.
