It happened near the village at westchester apartment complex in the 54hundred block of aurora avenue. Police say someone tried to start a jeep in a parking area. But it was already in gear. That caused the jeep to go over a retaining wall and fall on a woman several feet below. She was taken to the hospital, but she is also expected to be okay. Des Moines Police say the may have located the vehicle of the suspect who fired shots near east high school. It happened yesterday afternoon just across the street from the high school. Witnesses say they heard shots at saint paul lutheran church. Des moines Public Officials put students on lock down for 7 minutes so police could investigate. No one was hurt and no suspects have been arrested. The Waukee Police officers are now wearing body cameras. Our department, our officers theyre excited about them. It holds them accountable, it should let the city know that everything they say is being recorded so that should put the public at ease that things are being recorded. The department has 18 cameras to capture the officers face to face interactions. Police are responsible for uploading all of the video to a server. If the video is tagged, its saved for 180 days. If not, its erased after 60 days. The footage can be used in court. Or when an officers actions are called into question. No amendments were allowed in this vote. In iowa senator Chuck GrassleysNews Conference call yesterday. A three billion dollar hit could disenfranchise farmers with Crop Insurance. It cuts nearly a third of funds. He says its better to have farmers buy into Crop Insurance to manage risk. Which pays out 40 to 45 percent. Rather than subsidizing 100 percent if a Natural Disaster is declared. 92 percent of the farmers have Crop Insurance. Before we had Crop Insurance, every farmer, would have to, if theres a Natural Disaster, get a disaster resolution declared by the president of the United States. And then, is there money available . If theres not money available, then you always had to depend on was Congress Going to appropriate money the original bill language did not specify the cuts. But sets a targeted reduction of insurer reimbursement rates. From the average 14 percent. To nine percent. The grain markets have slowed down. And that could be. Because of end of the month trading.
