Grain storage locations. Are also under pressure. David geiger heads to a cooperative after the whos toughest on spending . Fox news did the analysis and jeb bush had the best record. Billions in pork, vetoed. Eight budgets, balanced. And tax cuts every single year. Right to rise usa who has the plan for jobs . Jeb. Tax cuts for the middle class. Eliminates special loopholes. An explosion in growth and new jobs. Jeb cut taxes. Grow america. Right to rise usa geiger. You see cooperatives on the side of the road in big and small towns. During this time of year. It could look pretty busy. But it may not be clear what they are. So in honor of National Cooperative month. I headed over to a facility in monroe to talk to tracy gathman. But before we got to what a coop is. I had to ask him how harvest is going. Its been wild, david, weve gone, probably three weeks now without bit the last couple of days, but its allowed the producers to just keep right on rolling. And its gone incredibly fast, and its been really good so far. Tracy gathman, general manager, two rivers, pella. The farmers themselves own the facilities, thats who were here to work for and its especially sweet when its in october, right in the middle of harvest. And we can see the fruit of the labors. This facility, or these companies, were started in 1920, by the producers, they own them by common stock in the facility, they completely own the company. All of our profits are turned back to our member owners, or the producers. The qualitys been really good. Were seeing a lot of stuff come out of the field now with very low moisture, especially with the corn. Were not having to run our driers whatsoever. Everythings coming out anywhere between 13. 5 and 16 percent. Were trying to make as big of a hole as what we can. Weve started a ground pile at our facility in otley. Weve moved some grain into some terminal storage to try and make more room. Early on, we actually got soybeans in room today weve still got 20, 25 percent of harvest left and the bins are filling rapidly and where were going to go with it next, im not real sure, but well get that figured out in the next day or two. Nats cooperatives should not be mistaken for independents. Theres a big difference. Independents are owned by one person who takes in the profits. Coops are owned by farmers who split the profits. The two rivers coop has nearly 500 farmer members. And employs around 50 workers. Gathman adds theyve seen the out this fall. Since the iowa nutrient reduction strategy began. He estimates that number is up between 30 and 40 percent this year. Over in the grain markets. The European Central bank made a statement suggesting the future. So the dollars up, what they hundred points. And thats kind of working against all the ag commodities that are priced in dollars this morning. Soybeans got a very good export will continue to see very strong export sales for most of the weeks between now and the end of 2015. But the corn and wheat numbers were pretty poor. The Cattle Market is probably not done yet. But we are starting to see a little resistance here both technical and fundamental. The export sales of beef were pretty low the last week. We still think technically theres a little more room to the upside in cattle. Although, theyre due for at least a corrective pullback here. Pork has benefited because the slaughter runs have not been quite as large as expected. Theyre running below a year ago for the same week so thats provided a little bit of underlying support to the market and thats all we have for the show today. Thanks for joining.
