Were learning more about a now former Lincoln High School charged with public exposure this weekend. It turns out it wasnt the first time Michael Madson has faced criminal charges. Madson was arrested on saturday and charged with public exposure after allegedly revealing himself to a Valley West Mall employee. Madson resigned his job at lincoln on tuesday. According to the courier newspaper and Online Court Records madson faced a similar charge in 1994 after he walked into the lobby of a Waterloo Hotel wearing only a tshirt. He was charged with indecent exposure. But plead guilty to a lesser charge of criminal tresspass. He was fired from his job at a waterloo school. But appealed and was allowed to keep teaching. In 2001 he was charged with harrassment after allegedly peeping on a teenager at a tanning salon. Online Court Records show madson entered a guilty plea and had the harrassment charged according to the Des Moines School districts website. Madson was hired in august of 2001. The Iowa Supreme Court will hear arguments in an open session in the wrongful death case of former slipknot band member, paul grey. Greys family claimed doctor daniel baldi, a Pain Management physician in des moines, over prescribed pain medications to grey. Who died from an fentanyl in 2010. Doing. But greys widow is appealing the decision. The arguments will be heard before the Supreme Court in a special evening session on february 16th. It starts at 7 oclock. A bill being considered at the statehouse this session could make it easier for doctors, First Responders and family members to save the lives of drug addicts. The bill would allow the use of narcan. An injectible drug that can reverse an opioid overdose. Jenna morton talked to the two women behind this bill. Ben van camp was 27 and andy brown was 33 29 42 this is in our community in our schools, its your neighbor, its your friends, its real people. both struggled with Substance Abuse for years. K 28 13 the ugly comments people make like that person there dont deserve life thats wrong, that is wrong, everybody deserves to live. both mothers have been pushing legislation to legalize a drug called narcan. That can reverse an overdose. They want it in the hands of all health care professionals, law enforcement, and family members of addicts. Iowa needs to step up, they really do. The bill didnt pass last year. Mostly because of a line in the bill that gives the person that reports the overdose immunity.
