Johnston Officials Say they are reviewing all of their policies after this video hit the internet. 61year old bus driver Robert Scarbrough confronts. Then strikes. A 15 year old special needs student aboard his bus. He then screams at other students who are telling him to stop. After the kids left the bus they approached a polk county sheriffs deputy and reported what had happened. Scarbrough is charged with child endangerment and assault causing injury. Today we talked with johnston officials about the incident. They say scarbrough went through training on what to do in an instance like this. But didnt follow through with what hed been taught. 303816 bus drivers go through that training just like a teacher would as to how to constructively work with any kind of behavior issues, what do when they see a student getting out of line and to respectively and responsibly guide that situation back into control, well be enforcing that quite a bit scarbrough had only been employed by the district for 60 days. The Waterloo Police department is mourning the sudden death of an officer. 35year old officer adam liddle passed away yesterday from whats being called an unknown medical trauma. The exact cause of his death is still being investigated. His last work shift was wednesday evening. Liddle is survived by a ten year old son. A western iowa farmer is recovering after he was thrown from his combine after he was hit by an alleged drunk driver. It happened near crescent last driving drunk when he hit a combine driven by larry larson head on. Larson was thrown the combine. Theres no word on his condition today. Congressman david young spent the day touring several ag facilities in central iowa. He was there to talk to farmers about the issues they face with government, including the recently passed twoyear federal budget that slashes funding for Crop Insurance. One that was very detrimental was the 3 billion dollar cut in Crop Insurance, and so, that opened up the farm bill, and thats not good for our farmers and agriculture industry. And i introduced a bill right away to reinstate that 3 billion dollars, and ive got bipartisan support to try to move that. So we want to try to reinstate that. 01 19 representative young says there have been promises made by some in congress that the 3 billion cut from the federal Crop Insurance program will be paid back. But young says voters dont like promises made by washington. So. Hes introduced this bill in the hopes of Getting Congress to Pay Attention to the issue now. But going to the meetings and finding out more information, i did find out they were gonna pay me for my stover, and thats a very good thing.
